Cobra Kai : Unlocking the Path to Balance

New Sensei?

I had been looking forward to seeing Miyagi-do for the first time. I just kinda hope that the dojo may open up soon. Cause I need to show these Cobra kai assholes who his boss. But Demetri had forgotten to give me the dam directions so I just had to look it up online. So I had fine my way there and then I see Demetri sitting down.

"Oh hey. You had actually made it." He says.

"Yeah but you had forgotten to give me that directions to get here." I say as I was smiling.

"Oh shoot, I am sorry man. Anyway, we welcome you to Miyagi-do. But it may seem you may not like it, But this is were we are taught how to learn karate." He says. As I look around at the place. but it seems pretty open. But its also has the same Japanese esthetic I'm used to.

"Cool. So how do exactly learn how to do Miyagi-do?" I then ask.

"But here we learn how to find balance and then use that to our advantage." He says.

"So how does that work?" I then ask.

"Do you want me to show you cause I can if you want?" He asks.

"Um, sure." But then I respond. As we move over to more of the open space. But suddenly Demetri had closed his eyes and then started breathing.

"Um, so are you going to try and do anything or-" I then begin to say but than I am cut off me Demetri who tried to sweep my leg but I jumped just at the right moment. I then help Demetri up off the ground.

"Oh, shoot. Your really fast." Demetri then says.

"Nah, I kinda asked for it tho." I say as I was surprised cause of how sudden and effective that was. But he was also even wearing a cast.

"You think you could show me that again?" I say.

"Well, I could probably try. But I never really taught anyone before." Demetri then says. But throughout the next thirty minutes, Demetri then shows me how to get some type of balance and then how to sweep some ones leg. But I already know how to that, I'm just stalling until I could meet Daniel Himself to see how good he actually is. But it was still all pretty fun. Then I eventually, went home. Man, You could probably see how good I am But I don't like to show it to people often, So I'm just playing along with them for now.

Later...

But some time passes and then I get a weird text from Demetri.

"Man! Miyagi-Do had just reopened! You could come join us!"

"Man that is awesome! You know what I'll be there." I couldn't wait. I had asked my dad if I could barrow his car. But when I got there I suddenly felt Kinda of nervous for some weird reason. But what if there Like those Cobra Kai people? I had push those thoughts out of my head and to the back of my mind. But as soon as I enter Miyagi-Do everyone stops and looks at me for a second. I then suddenly see a girl in the corner of my eye.

"Umm Hey, are you here to train with us ?" The man then asks.

"Uh, Yeah I guess." I then say. I then presume this guy is Mr. Larusso.

"Well Awesome. why don't you maybe get that spot in the back. we were just about to begin." As Mr. Larusso says. I then step towards the back and then start to listen at what he starts to say.

" I know it has been awhile since our latest class. But after that fight at the school, I really wasn't sure if I should keep Miyagi-Do open or not. But things have escalated since we had shut down. so that is why we are back. But the only way to stop Cobra kai once and for all is if we all stay and work together. But you also have to remember, That the only reason we learn karate is to just defend ourselves. And to never try and start a fight. But we also have to try and show forgiveness, and compassion. That is what Mr. Miyagi had used to say to me of you had been looking for revenge, You could try and start to dig two graves. But he was right. If you every have any hate in your heart, Then, You may have already lost yourself. I know it may not have been easy, but whatever you mad have to do you could try and show mercy, even if your enemy doesn't even deserve it. Understand?" Mr. Larusso had asked us.

"Yes! Sensei!" Then everyone shout at him but me. Cause he hasn't earned my respect yet.

"Okay then, Lets just start with some simple exercises". He then says. But has everyone was doing their breathing and doing things that I kinda of already understand. It was pretty obvious. While everyone was all together, I was just looking around not impressed at all.

Later...

But after awhile, the class had ended. I felt like a sudden urge to fight someone. But before I could leave Mr. LaRusso had then stopped me. But then eventually everyone had left and then it was just me and Mr. LaRusso left.

"So, I noticed That you weren't even trying today." He says.

"well then I guess you understand then. Cause I actually know how to do this stuff already." I just said honestly.

"Well, then why are you here?" He then asks.

"Cause I heard from my father that you were the only one that beat him, And I thought that I would give this dojo a shot. But I also feel liked I had a bombshell drop on me since I got here with no knowledge of any of this." I then say.

"Ok, well how about this. Why don't I show you a few things since I have a bit of time and I'll say were your at okay." Mr. LaRusso says.

"Okay then." I say back.

"Be ready." Mr. LaRusso then says. But suddenly he comes out of nowhere and aims a punch at my stomach. I block it and then redirect it.

"well that was impressive?" He says in shock.

"No, That's only the beging of things." I say with confidence.

"Ok, show me what else you got but this time actually try and hit me ok." Mr. Larusso says. Then this time he goes to punch my stomach again, I then move my arm to block it and then kick his shoulder to then sweep his leg knocking him on the floor. It felt kinda of nice to do. But however, I didn't notice that his daughter was watching  and she ran in to punch me but I was blocking all of her hits like it was nothing.

"Oh my gosh sam stop!" He says in a agressive tone.

"But dad, he was Kicking your ass so I had to step in to help you." She looked at the boy in anger.

"No Sam we were just sparring he is one of my new students and I gotta say I'm really impressed with you." He then start to talk about a guy he once fought, who had great skilled, But he didn't know that the person he was talking about was my own father.

"Oh! My bad I'm sorry I didn't know." Sam says in desperation.

"No its fine I Totally get, If it was my dad I would totally do the same thing." I say.

So after a bit they start to talk for awhile and then spar a bit against eachother.

"Oh yeah I totally forgot I Have to go do something, But what is your name by the way?" she asks.

"Oh, its Lucas." I ask the same question back.

"Oh, my name is Sam, I guess see you next class then." she says with a smile.

"See, ya next time Sam." I say with a smile.

"Ok then, well I guess you know pretty much the basics." Mr. LaRusso says.

"But that's not good enough for me. everyone around has balance in there life but I don't how is that fair to me." I say.

"Just try to remember this, There will always being something or someone who will always overwhelm you. I just say breath and stay focus. Then just analyze yourself and the others around you and then try to find there weak point." Mr. LaRusso then says.

"Thanks again. Sensei." I then bow and show him respect.

"Do you maybe want more help with trying to find your balance tomorrow after class?" Mr. Larusso then asks.

"Yeah, I think that would honestly be fine with me." I the say. After that I'm pretty much just free to go. But I also think about what he had said to me. Maybe with a little more of his help I'll fine my own balance.
