Heavy Is The Crown (Wanda Maximoff X M! Reader)

Chapter 10

As the wedding neared, Wanda was nervous. Extremely nervous. King Henry had had new crowns made for a new ruling. The new crowns will be unvieled at the coronation after the wedding. Not wanting to do it all at once.

Wanda was constantly getting fitted for her dresses. She hadn't seen Y/N all day since the two woke from their slumber. Although he had decided to surprise his Queen to be, by bringing her family. Helping them finish tending to their chores. Enjoying getting his hands dirty.

He had had the maidens get the guestrooms ready for Wanda's family, and made sure that the tailor was at the ready to measure them for their wedding clothes.

"I want you to walk Wanda down the aisle." Y/N told Oleg as they were in the carriage. Iryna and Pietro watching as Oleg teared up slightly. "I know it would mean a lot to you all and to me." He finished as Oleg nodded. "She also doesn't know of your early arrival. I wanted it to be a surprise."

The rest of the journey was talking about wedding plans and of course future plans. Will they have children? One or more children. Soon arriving at the castle. Y/N helped them down from the carriage, leading them inside with Buchanan walking behind all of them.

Y/N had told them about dinner before getting tailored for their suits and dress before disappearing to see his Queen to be.

"Wanda dear." Y/N knocked on her door. "May I come in?" He requested making her smile.

"In a moment." Wanda called out to him, Margerat helping her remove the wedding gown before pulling on her own dress. "It's open."

Y/N smiled as he saw Wanda, reaching his hands out to her. Holding her for a moment in his arms.

"You smell like hey." She told him when she pulled away.

"I have had some business outside of the Kingdom to deal with, but I am hungry. Would you accompany me." He asked her. She just smiled and took his arm as the two walked through the halls together. He smiled as he opened the door for her. Watching Wanda's smile grow as she saw her family, laughing and talking with King Henry.

"Here they are." King Henry boomed, caused everyone's attention to fall on Wanda and Y/N.

"How?" Wanda asked as she looked between everyone before it clicked in her head. "You." She pointed at Y/N. "You brought them here?" She had tears streaming down her face as she soon threw her arms around him before she went to greet her family. Listening as her father told her about Y/N helping out on the farm. As everyone had finished, King Henry and Y/N left the dining room, leaving Wanda and her family with some privacy.

"You are a lucky man." He told Y/N who just smiled and nodded.

"I am indeed, and I will be even luckier tomorrow evening that I shall call her my wife." Y/N smiled as the King smiled proudly at his son.

The next day came, the day that all of the people within the Kingdom will gather to celebrate the marriage of Prince Y/N and Lady Maximoff. A match made in heaven and no one to stand in between.

Y/N was ready in his best dress suit as he stood before Arch Bishop Hill. King Henry stood beside him. The hall was filled with the people waiting to see Wanda and Y/N wed. To celebrate the new Royal Marriage.

As soon as the music started, Y/N's gaze remained at the end of the room. Watching for the most beautiful creature to ever walk the earth. An angel in disguise.

The way she walked with such grace as she held onto her father's arm. All of the angels above would all cry out at such beauty. Beauty that should never be seen by the human race.

As the Arch Bishop addressed the Kingdom, Y/N kept his gaze and sole focus on the woman before him. A smile on his face and nothing but love in his eyes.

"The moment I saw you in that field of wild flowers, I knew I had met my match. The woman who would guide me into ruling the Kingdom accordingly. The mother of our future children." Y/N spoke. "I knew in the moment we shared our first kiss my sole being belonged to you. The Queen of my heart." Wanda smiled before taking a deep breath.

"I never knew who you were the moment we met. Just a self entitled boy from the castle, but the more I learned about who you truly are. Not as Prince Y/N, but as Y/N who soon stole my heart. The man who would be my every stolen thought." Wanda told him. "Every moment I have spent with you, I fall more and more with each fleeting moment and I plan on keep falling until my dying breath." Wanda finished. The whole room was silent as they sealed the marriage with a passionate kiss. Not realising that whole thing wasn't over yet.

Arch Bishop Hill had stood before everyone, announcing the retirement of King Henry and the new King and Queen were to be crowned.

"I thought this wasn't happening just yet." Y/N whispered to his father. Watching as two new crowns were being brought out.

"This old crown is being retired and the Kingdom needs a King with a stronger Queen." He told him. Both Wanda and Y/N turned with their backs to the Alter. The Arch Bishop removing the King's crown before picking up the newly crafted Crown.

"This era of England deserves a new order. New Crown Order." Arch Bishop Hill spoke as she placed it upon Y/N's head. "But every King needs a Queen just as strong, or in this case stronger to rule by his side." She placed the crown atop of Wanda's head.

A chorus of Long Live The King sounded through the room. Echoeing off of the walls as Y/N turned to Wanda.

"You look stunning my Queen." He held his hand out to her, leading her through the room towards the banquet.

"As do you my King." She smiled before kissing him softly. "I get to do that for the rest of my life." She whispered as she gazed in his eyes.

"And we get to rule side by side." He told her softly. Holding her hand in his as they shared a dance together. Looking forward to the start of their reign. Both already understanding the heaviness of the crowns they bare.
