I'm walking down the hallway as I bump into a tall, handsome, fluffy brown haired boy, my boyfriend— Darren. "Oh— sorry!" I say shyly, covering my face with my school books. "It's okay Y/N, don't be too stressed." Darren replied with a soft voice. He pulled me into a hug and I instantly fell for it. A few hours later me and Darren decided to hang out, just me and him. "We should go to the beach." I say, looking up and smiling at him. "And swim?" He looks down in a jokingly manner. "No, but if you don't want to then we can just go to my place and watch a movie." Our eyes locked in eye contact, "Well- uh-" Darren paused for a few minutes to think, "I just don't think I'm ready for a relationship anymore-" I cut him off. "That's fine! I have to get going anyways. My parents would FREAK if they found out I was dating either way.." I lied and gently pushed his arm off my shoulder."

"Wait!-" "See you at school Darren!" I walked off, holding back my tears. As soon as I got home I ran to my room and slammed the door behind me. "I can never win!!" I rolled off my bed and onto my carpet. "Ow— this sucks!" I say quietly, rolling my eyes and throwing a pillow onto my face. I screamed into the pillow for about 30 minutes. Suddenly I heard my phone ringing, it was my best friend Hilda. "Yeah— what's up?" I say in a soft tone, even though it was still extremely obvious I had been screaming and crying. "Girl don't act like you don't know! I ran into Darren while I was walking my dog and he told me what happened." She replied, sounding just as dramatic as always. "I'm so tired of waiting! I was never good at dating." I said over dramatically while rolling on the floor.

"Hold a sec, I'll be right there." Hilda hung up the phone. "Wha— Hilda!!" I yelled but I was too late. Just a few minutes later she busted down my door, "I brought snacks, now tell me EVERYTHING." She said as she threw a bag filled with snacks and drinks next to me. "I just don't wanna feel lonely." I sighed, "Well you know, if you feel lonely, I'll be lonely with you!" Hilda says in a cheerful way while cuddling me. I smiled gently, "why are we so complicated?" I asked, "Ugh.. loves a word I've always hated." She added as if she doesn't have a crush on all the boys in our grade. "You know, it's more fun spending time with my best friend than my own boyfriend." I cuddled closer and yawned.

"Well you know what I always say, if you feel broken, you know I won't break your heart." She said, "And if you shatter, I won't let you fall apart." I rolled my eyes jokingly  and smiled we decided to watch a movie and then we fell asleep for a few hours. Later when we woke up, we went downstairs to get a cup of water. "You know, we should go play some soccer in the backyard." She smiles looking down at me. "You know I was never good at sports." I replied, we both giggled.
