Chapter 6 - What now?
-3rd POV-As Eni looked at herself in the mirror, She took a deep breath and decided to go back to the room and face the situation.
When she got near the room, Jian and Risa were still talking, She stayed outside the door listening to what they were talking about, she could feel the tension in the air.
She heard quick footsteps running towards her, the doors opens and Risa was running out. Jian followed but only to see Eni at the door.
"Eni, how long have you been to there?" Jian asks Eni as she is confused, "I just got back, what was that?" She ask.
Jian : "Eni, I'm sorry but i have to go."
Eni : "To where? Want me to come with you?"
Jian : "No it's alright, I just want some time alone."Eni understood his reasons, but she couldn't help but feel upset as she wanted to spend time with Jian. She looked at him in the eyes and noticed tears in them, she then replied "Oh alright, just chat me when you get back ok?", Jian nods.
As Jian leaves he couldn't help but think of Risa, and everything they had, he couldn't help the feeling of sadness, regret and guilt, as it all comes flowing to him.
Jian knew that he needed to talk to Risa and Eni, but he didn't know how to approach the situation. he decided to take a walk and clear his head before he makes a move.
As he walked around the nearby park, he thought about his relationship with Risa and how much she meant to him. He knew that he loved him and that he wanted to be with her, but he also knew that he couldn't ignore her feelings of betrayal.
He then saw Risa sitting at a bench alone, drinking their favorite Iced coffee they always drank together seeing this he suddenly remembered all of the memories he had with her, he was reminded of how important she was in his life.
Jian then entered the coffee shop to order the same thing, hoping Risa would still be there when he goes back, so they can have a talk, and try to fix things.
But unfortunately when he came back Risa was nowhere to be found, this made him feel hopeless, falling into a never ending spiral of sadness and hating himself.
He sat there alone, thinking about what he had done.
Chapter 7: A Chance Encounter
I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I drove past Jian's apartment building. It had been long since things turned for the worse , but the memories of our time together still lingered in my mind. I knew I shouldn't be dwelling on the past, but something inside me compelled me to stop and take a look.
I parked my car and sat there for a while, watching the people come and go from the building. I wondered if Jian was still living there, or if he had moved on to a new place. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness at the thought of him being with someone else.
As I sat there lost in thought, I heard a knock on my car window. I turned to see Jian standing there, looking surprised to see me.
"Risa, what are you doing here?" he asked.
"I was just passing by and thought I'd stop for a minute," I said, trying to sound casual.
Jian looked at me for a moment before speaking. "Do you want to come up and talk?"
I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I was ready to face him again. But something inside me told me that I needed closure, and that this might be my chance.
We walked up to his apartment in silence, and once inside, we sat down on the couch. I could feel the tension between us, and I knew that this conversation was going to be difficult.
"I've missed you," Jian said, breaking the silence.
"I've missed you too," I replied, feeling my heart race.
We talked for hours, discussing what had gone wrong in our relationship and what we could have done differently. We both acknowledged that we had made mistakes, and that we had hurt each other deeply.
"You know... I knew what happened to me and Eni was wrong," Jian said as tears fall from his face, "I don't know what gotten into me but it's been haunting me ever since," As i hear this I felt a heavy beat in my heart.
"I'm still Inlove with you Risa..." He follows,
"I never forgot about you Jian, there are times I miss you, and there are times I hate you." I replied."Let me fix this Risa, I'll do anything." He insists, but I just don't know if I'm ready yet, Yes I love Jian, but what him and Eni did still lingers, I'm willing to give him the chance, but I'm uneasy about it, I don't know what to think, All my emotions gathered, and I just couldn't hold it anymore.
As the night wore on, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Talking to Jian had helped me to understand my own feelings, "No matter who I find it'll always be you Risa." Jian said, I told him that I'm not sure yet, I'm just not ready, But I'm willing to try again, "Loving you is worth all the scars, pain, and bruises".
As I got up to leave, Jian walked me to the door. "I'm glad we talked," he said, giving me a small smile.
"Me too," I replied, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders.
As I drove home, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance encounter. It had been exactly what I needed maybe this time, we can make things right.
Chapter 8: Regrets
-Jian's POV-
Jian walked into his apartment and closed the door behind him. He felt a heavy weight on his chest and a deep sadness within him, he couldn't help but think about Risa. He knew he needed to talk to someone, so he grabbed his phone and called his two closest friends, Chris and Rabbi.
"Hey, it's Jian. Can you guys come over? I really need to talk to someone," he said, his voice sounding defeated.
"Of course, man. We'll be there in a few minutes," Chris replied.
Jian hung up the phone and sat down on his couch, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. He couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness and regret that had been haunting him for God knows how long.
As he waited for his friends to arrive, he thought about all the things that had been bothering him. "I love Risa, she's the love of my life, but I just cant help these feelings for Eni." He thinks to himself.
He heard a knock on the door and got up to answer it. Chris and Rabbi walked in, looking concerned.
"Hey man, what's going on?" Chris asked, sitting down next to Jian.
"I don't know, guys. I just feel really down lately. Y'all know about Eni right?, and I feel like I'm losing touch with everyone," Jian said, his voice cracking.
Rabbi sat down on the other side of Jian and put his hand on his shoulder. "We're here for you, man. We'll help you through this, Let's talk about it."
"Looks like this is gonna be a long drink." Chris jokingly said.
"I just don't get it man, I always saw Eni as a friend, I mean sure I always admired her but not like this," I explained "And even so why now? Why now that I'm in a relationship?".
"Feelings develop over time, didn't you and her spend sometime after she arrived here?" Chris replies to me, "And maybe it was the feeling of missing Eni while she was gone." Rabbi adds.
"I don't want this feeling anymore, I miss what me and Risa had..." I said trying to hold my emotions.
"Well you have to do something about it," Chris replied, "Your relationship won't fix Itself."
I just can't help but think "Why now?" Why did I have to fall for Eni now, this feeling I don't want it, I don't need it, I need to get rid of this, but how?
For the rest of the evening, the three friends talked, and Jian felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He knew that things wouldn't magically get better, but having his friends by his side made him feel like he could face anything that came his way, He knew he had to fix things, He had to make things right.
