"Are you sure that you're not going to be able to come?" Jimin whined against the speaker of his phone. It was the full moon, which meant that he and the others of his small pack were supposed to be out running and soaking in the Goddess's rays while they could. It was a bonding experience that Jimin relished since he didn't get to see his packmates as much as he used to.

With them all out of college now and no longer living together while simultaneously holding down vastly different jobs with even vaster schedules, they weren't able to always see each other like they once had. While he knew that Seokjin, their pack leader, was looking for a house for them all to move into, realistically he knew that that day was far away and wouldn't be coming any time soon. So Jimin relishes these moments. Sadly, it would seem that tonight was going to be the first time since their pack had been created that no one was available to get out of work in order to run.

"Hyung please," he begged again and there was a heavy sigh from the other end of the speaker.

"I'm sorry Jimin, hyung will make it up to you, I promise." Yoongi gave a little chuckle at the end of his words and that made Jimin frown even deeper. "How about next weekend we go to the campgrounds, just you and me. Sounds good?"

Put out, Jimin tried not to sound as sad as he was. "I'd like that, hyung. Thank you." He really would like that, too. It wouldn't be the same, but sometimes that's how life worked. Long gone were the days of old when people used to celebrate the moon and take the time to actually run and be one with their wolves. In the modern age that was a trivial luxury that many didn't even bother to take even if they had the time for it.

Sometimes it felt like Jimin was a rare breed because of how much he enjoyed it. He grew up in a pack in rural Busan near the sea. Back home, they still celebrated the traditions of old, and while growing up he didn't think much of them, now that he was an adult with a pack of his own and away from the things that he had always known he realized that he missed them. That he wished that he had appreciated them a little more now that they were gone. Thankfully, his pack understood that this was important to him and tried to do as much as they could, even when the majority did not grow up the same as he did. They were wonderful like that. Still, it was hard.

"Why don't you go on a run for us," Yoongi suggested and Jimin perked up a little at that. "I know it's not the same, but you could run for us."

"I don't really like shifting by myself though..." It was something that always made him uncomfortable. While he knew that human society was becoming more and more accepting about the things that went bump in the night, he was still scared. There were still hunters out there who were more than ready to chop off his head despite the fact that it was now considered illegal to hunt them in the majority of the world. That didn't stop them though. If anything, it made them more vindictive in their prejudice. So unless he was with his pack or with others that he completely trusted, Jimin rarely shifted by himself.

"No one says that you have to shift in order to go on a run, pup," the older alpha teased. "Why don't you instead go for a walk around your complex, maybe hit up the convenience store, and take some pictures of the night sky to send us in the group chat. I'm sure that would cheer everyone up. I know that Tae and Hobi were looking forward to tonight and were practically devastated when they were called in for that last minute shoot."

The two worked for the same company that Yoongi did as not only the choreographer for a really high class and top of the line idol group, but as the fashion team as well. Since the moment that the two had met in college they had been a team and wouldn't be separated no matter what. It was really a matter of time before the two alphas became mates. Just thinking about that brought a wide smile to Jimin's face. He had been rooting for the two for years, and it was a privilege to watch their journey even from the sidelines as he was.
