This is not your average boy meets girl love story, its new beginnings, learning to trust, and embracing your true self. And that is what Cosette did, she embraced the life she wanted.
Cosette took a few more seconds to look out Caroline's bedroom window and to gather her thoughts before she grabbed her things to leave for school.
Caroline walked back into her room with a cup of coffee, "Here I made you your favorite. How are you today? And don't lie to me." Caroline said as she handed Cosette the coffee cup.
Cosette softly smiled up at Caroline," It still hurts, but today it feels like I'll be able to breathe better." Caroline winked at Cosette in reassurance "That's good I'm proud of you! Now let's get you ready for school."
Caroline opened her closet and picked out an outfit for Cosette "Here! You will look absolutely beautiful in this. Go get ready sexy" Caroline said as she put the outfit in Her awaiting arms.
When Cosette turned around Caroline playfully slapped her butt earning a yelp and a playful glare from Cosette. Cosette huffed and mumbled to herself as she walked to Caroline's bathroom. All you could hear in the background was Caroline's happy giggles.
Cosette turned on the water and put her hand in the shower to feel the temperature and all of the sudden she felt a cold shock run through her fingertips and she was sent back to the night of the accident. She fell backwards and started to hyperventilate and sob feeling as she was drowning. Caroline busted in hearing the commotion to see her best friend on the floor folding into herself.
"Oh Cossie it's okay, shh it's okay I'm here." Caroline said, drooping down to swoop Cosette into her arms trying to soothe her.
"I thought I'd gotten over it," Cosette sniffled. "I haven't had an attack like this for months."
"Something must have triggered it, has anything changed recently?" Caroline asked gently.
Cosette gasped and brought her hand to her mouth, "My visions, they have come back"
Caroline's eyebrows rose in shock, "Really?"
"Yes, I don't know what triggered this." Cosette shook her head in disbelief, "Care?"
"Hmm?" Caroline breathed out.
"Can.. Can you.. Help me?" Cosette jestered toward the shower in defeat.
"Of course love, but you don't have to force yourself." Caroline replied with a smile.
"I know but I need to try."
Thirty minutes later Cosette returned from the bathroom with a confident look on her face, the first one in a long time. She was slowly feeling like herself again.
