The Last Hope: Akio and the Dream Warriors

Episode 1: Neo Terra

The world had changed after the apocalypse. Neo Terra, a post-apocalyptic world, was now divided into different communities with their own unique abilities. Harmony Hills was one such community, known for its peaceful environment and inhabitants with powers related to nature. The people of Harmony Hills were well-respected for their abilities to manipulate the elements of nature.

However, the peace of Harmony Hills was under threat by the corrupt government, known as The Regime. The Regime had taken control of most of Neo Terra and used their power to exploit the people of the land. They demanded taxes from every community, and if they failed to pay, they would face severe consequences.

It was in this community that we meet Akio Takehashi, a teenager who thought he had no powers. He had always felt left out as all his friends had unique abilities. Yumi Nakamura and Hiroshi Sato were his closest friends, and they tried to reassure him that he might have powers he didn't know about.

One morning, Akio woke up from a terrifying dream. He saw his parents getting attacked by soldiers of The Regime for not paying taxes. He dismissed it as a nightmare and went to meet Yumi and Hiroshi.

Yumi had been trying to show her powers to Akio for a while now. She had the ability to control the elements of nature, including wind, water, and earth. Hiroshi, on the other hand, had the ability to manipulate technology and control machines with his mind.

As they were hanging out, Yumi accidentally burned her arm after showing that he can bend fire, and they had to rush her to the hospital where Akio's parents are working. Akio's mother, Akemi Takehashi, was a healer at the hospital and tended to Yumi's injuries.

Akio couldn't help but feel left out as everyone around him had unique abilities. He asked his father, Hiro Takehashi, why he didn't have any powers. Hiro hesitated before telling him that he had a unique ability too, but he didn't want to disclose it yet.

Akio was furious with his father and stormed out of the hospital. As he was walking on the streets, he saw the nightmare from his dream come to life. Renji Kimura, the Captain of The 5th Division of The Regime, had attacked the hospital with his soldiers because Akio's parents hadn't paid their taxes in time.

Renji had the power to manipulate ice and could create freezing blasts or freeze objects and people. He was killing innocent people in the process, and Akio was horrified. His father used his teleportation technique and took Akio, Yumi, and Hiroshi away from the scene. He left her wife there and that pissed off Akio even more. Hiro told him that she can handle it and that he don't got to worry

Hiro told Akio that he needed to find a man named Lee Mashiba, but he didn't have time to explain. Akio was confused but also scared for his life. What was going on, and why did his family have to hide their powers? He was determined to find out more about his powers and why his family was in danger.
