"Hey that'sh cheating yu've haven't eaten in the past 3 hours"

"I won fair and square, 20 Dollars if you may."

Not even I expected to down 12 bowls of noodles in one sitting. My waist band feels multiple sizes too small, and I think I just gained 5 pounds.

Dok lets out a long sigh and reaches into his wallet handing me a singular 20 Dollar bill.

"Thank you for your service."

"Letsh just head back, and never shpeak of this to anyone from thish point onwardsh."

"Deal."

Walking back towards Dok's bar I feel multiple eyes on me the entire time. At least I think I do, It could also just be my nerves coming down from everything within the last three hours. It should be fine if I just ignore them. Right?

We walk back to the bar fine and enter to find a freckled red head standing behind the counter with a absent-minded look in her eyes.

"Oh Don, you're back."

Did she just call Dok "Don". Oh this is going to be fun to watch.

"Oh hey Bes, thanks for manning the bar. Oh right introduchtionshs."

Dok quickly gestures towards me.

"Oh, Hi You're Bes Right. I'm Jackhob Maldler. You've probably heard Dok talk about me before."

I go to shake her hand in which she stares at it blankly before Dok quickly whispers something in her ear prompting an "Oh" and a quick reciprocation of the shake. "Sorry, it's just been a long day."

"Hello, my name is Bes Kurosawa. Donny has talked a lot about you."

"Oh is that so?" This is going to be interesting

Dok quickly shoots Bes a glance in which she quickly ignores.

"Yea, he keeps muttering things in his sleep like 'I can't believe he jusht left me to hang', and 'I don't need him, our team can work with only me anyways.'"

"Bes Shu-" Dok tries to get out before catching himself.

Dok cuts in suddenly,  "Let'sh talk about shomething else. Shall we."

I have a lot to process, I just need space. "I am going to be honest here. I am too burnt out right now for anything but sleep. So uh lets take a raincheck"

"Shounds like a plan. Hey Jackhob if we jusht leave you in the bar as itsh closed are yu gonna burn the place down."

"I will try not to."

"Worksh for me."

Dok grabs his belongings and quickly exits the bar with Bes flipping the sign from Open to Close.

With that I finally close my eyes and get some decent rest.

"Can you believe it, Elaine? It's only 500 Dollars a month."

I look around the suite, and although the area could be improved, this should be a nice place for us to grow, and maybe get some of the in-laws off of my back finally. Especially Susan. I can imagine it now, us sitting around a dinner table and Susan looks around the place and begrudgingly states, "Well, it's not the worst thing for my daughter."

Elaine looks around the suite a bit before coming back to the living room "It is a bit of a... fixer-upper, but if we put a nice red couch here, and ooh what about a glass table over there? I can work with this."
