"Luna, come on up, girl," Chadwick says in a happy tone. I look around confused. But he makes direct eye contact with me, so I shyly walk up front. Then I see Cyborg in the back nodding approvingly. Even though I don't pay attention that much, I know a few words.
I know that when he says: Come, I come. Stay, I stay. Follow, I follow. And when he said jump through the hoops, I jumped through the hoops. When he says to ran across the field as fast as I can, I ran with the wind.
Apparently all I needed to succeed was someone to believe in me for once.I didn't like the fact that I was going in that arena, with a possiblity of victory, all for the humans to bathe in cash. People make bets on mainly the random dogs, because when Demon walks out, every dollar goes in his name.
After training, Chadwick looked slightly taken aback.
He looked down at the score results for my training and he kept looking back at me."You-you...how?" Chadwick asked me.
I didn't know what he meant.
But I did understand him whenever he said that I was the new top dog.
