Meeting the Mistress

Time in captivity seemed to be never ending, you were trapped, isolated and mistreated daily.

They took blood from you a lot, you heard the bird lady once say that you were a personal emergency blood supplement for a lady named "Alcina", whoever that was.

You were raised here since you was little and had given up on any chance at freedom. But you didn't mind being lonely, it was better being alone then being in her presence...

But that all changed one day, when the door to your "room" opened and the bird lady came in. She went on to explain that you were leaving! "I need room for more experiments, therefore I'm getting rid of the mortals that have no use for me." She explained. "Since you technically belong to one of my servants you will be staying there, as her personal handmaiden."

Fuck...that could be way worse then this. At least here your isolated, now you'll be waiting on someone?? Just doing what your told for your whole life?

Suddenly a cold voice brought you out of your thoughts. "Are you listening?? Get up and come with me. I don't have all day." Miranda commanded, leading you to quickly get up and follow her out.

She suddenly injected you with a serum, causing you to black out.

When you woke up the first thing you noticed was you were in a carriage, with new clothes on. You were now wearing a handmaidens uniform. Even though you were held captive so long you knew what they looked like from old books she gave you.

Once you felt the carriage stop you followed mother Miranda out. You looked up in awe at the building, completely amazed by how big it was.

Miranda grabbed the chain connected to your wrists, leading you inside the castle, it was to make sure you didn't run away, even if you tried you wouldn't get far anyways.

As you walked up to the castle you felt uneasy, something was...off about this castle but you couldn't quite put your finger on what it was.

Finally you were dragged inside by the bird lady, walking until you got to what looked like an office.

"You wait outside, I will call you when you are needed." Miranda said as she closed the door in your face.

You sighed and leaned against the wall of the castle, wondering how you ever got in this position.

Suddenly you heard talking from inside the door, it was quite muffled but you could make out the bird ladies voice slightly, and a louder voice saying, "thank you mother Miranda, you're too kind" the voice was confident and smooth. It almost made you feel calmer.

Well...almost, suddenly the doors opened and Miranda dragged you in, you were startled to see what looked like the tallest person you had ever seen.

"She's yours now, take blood from her whenever you feel like." Mother Miranda said. The tall lady smiled at this and replied, "oh isn't she just adorable~ I think you'll be my personal help."

You just nodded in response, it's not like you could say no anyways. Maybe this would be a better change of pace from that awful lab.

"Good, I have a feeling you'll out last the other maidens." The tall lady said with a smirk. You wanted to ask what that meant but decided to hold your tongue. You didn't wanna get in trouble for asking too many questions.

After about half an hour the bird lady finally left.

The tall lady had revealed that she was the countess of this castle and all the peasantry near it. She explained that her title was a very important name and should be treated at such.

You knew now that her full name was Alcina Dimitrescu, but you were to refer to her as either Lady Dimitrescu or "my lady".

She showed you to your room, you were in awe about how big it was, it was a much better upgrade from your cell at the lab.

"Usually the maids all sleep in the cellar, but since you are a gift from Mother I've decided you should be separated and close at all times." The tall lady explained

She then went on to explain what exactly you were supposed to do.

"You are to wait on my needs and everything I tell you to do, as my personal maiden you don't get the same chores as the others, you're special. That made you smile slightly, someone actually thought you were special.

"But. If you ever and I mean EVER step out of line or misbehave you will regret it. Do you understand me?" She said in a menacing tone.

You nodded quickly. That made her smile slightly.

"A quiet one aren't you, good, loud obnoxious maidens don't last long." She said as she patted your head, almost as if to mock you.

"And one last thing, you are not to leave this castle without permission or unless I accompany you, those man things out there will eat you alive, and as my personal maiden you must be held to a high standard and be safe from those creatures." She told you before walking away.

Yeah, you had heard from Miranda once that the tall lady HATED men with a burning passion, you never knew why though, and you certainly didn't wanna ask.

As you walked into your room and sat down on your bed you sighed, almost of relief to be away from the bird lady.

But what you weren't aware about was a few moths that were flying around your room, keeping an eye on you.
