21 Lepus of the year 13007

In the throne room on the first king's steps, Holly and Kael kneel before Garrled our officiant. The room is decorated in white, red and gold ribbons. Similarly coloured fabric decorates the room. Candles cover the windowsills. White and gold flowers rest everywhere else.

"Kaelen do you take Holly Ralnorian to be your wife?" Garrled places one hand each on Kael and Holly's shoulders.

"I do,"

"I do too,"

"Miss Ralnorian," Garrled gives Holly a pointed look.

"Sorry, I can't help it," She bashfully smiles up at him. "Please proceed,"

"Holly, do you take Kaelen Avalonion to be your husband?"

"I do," Holly grins.

Garrled grins and gives the final statement. "I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may kiss."

27 Kore of the Year 13009

Everest's Pov

"Oh Spirits!" Holly gasps clutching her swollen belly. Ella rushes to her best friend's side. Zorian on the other side studies her.

"What's happening?"

He places a hand on Holly's belly. His hand stays there for a moment like he's sensing something. "She's gone into labour,"

"I've what?"

"She's early!" Ella exclaims.

I quickly make a portal and gesture for Holly, Ella and Zorian to go through. The trio rushes through to Holly and Kael's room.

The rest of the court follows soon after but outside the room. We wait for hours, listening to Holly scream and Ella's words of encouragement. When Liron was born Kael and I had been five and we never truly heard our mother's screams. If having a child is as painful as it sounds I'm not sure I want one.

After several hours have gone by and Holly's screams diminish. A tiny but strong voice cries out. Everyone hears it, I turn to Kael. He looks at me with tears in his eyes. "I'm a Father,"

Kael leans into me and cries. I wrap my arms around my twin. He cries harder, overwhelmed with joyous emotions. A few minutes later Zorian walks out drying his hands on a towel. Kael lifts his head and drys his tears.

"It's a boy," Zorian announces. "A healthy baby boy,"

"What?" Kael asks his voice thick as the only evidence he was crying. No twin? I was sure they'd have twins the first time around. "No twin?"

"No, why do you ask?" Zorian looks puzzled. Either he has forgotten twins run in the family or...well there is no or.

"Twins run in the family. There was always one set of twins every generation. Vanora's first king was a twin," Kael explains, my court member's expressions turn to the realization that Kael and I are twins. Zorian pauses for a moment before opening the door for Kael.

"Oh...well, Holly's asking for you."
