"The atom bomb was no "great decision." It was used in the war, and for your information, there were more people killed by fire bombs in Tokyo than dropping of the atomic bombs accounted for. It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness. The dropping of the bombs stopped the war, save millions of lives." - Harry S. Truman

He, who controls information, have absolute reign over the battlefield and this can never be more truer over the course of military history as time and time again, proven that obtaining intelligence first decides the victor or even outcome of a battle.

Klaus was staring at his smart tablet intently, an overall map of the city was displayed on it thanks to the live-feed from a drone operating for the area. His eyes then shifted to look at the blue arrows that were navigating through the streets and looked out from the broken window of his temporary command post: if it could even be called as such, the building had been long abandoned and seemed unstable if one would hit the support beams that it may just crumble from the pressure.

"We are crossing the next checkpoint, Commander. No movement so far."

He keyed in his reply through the Laryngophone on his neck; to those who are unfamiliar with such a device, it's other name is the Throat Microphone which allows a user to communicate to another from a distance and such device could even pick up the smallest whisper due to it's nature of detecting vibrations as means of communication.

"Keep your guard up, there's a reason why this area had been flagged under Hazard Level 4.0 and we're here to find out what's hidden in this sector. There's nothing from the aerial sensor but assume that any potential hostile here have means of negating the sensor's detection."

The Commander glanced at his marksman rifle resting by an old cupboard, a customized SR-25/Mk.11 with attachments befitting of the current environment. He tapped on the screen of his tablet to switch the drone's sensor suite, utilizing its capabilities to detect different kinds of signatures from organic to metallic.

Everything was proceeding smoothly. Too easy for his own comfort and he wondered if the threat assessment should be performed in this sector once more. After all-

Just as he was thinking of changing his mindset regarding this mission, the loud crack from a gunshot echoed in the city and he focused back to the blue arrows which depicted his subordinates. They were alarmed by the sound as evident from their change in formation and sticking close to any available cover.

"Was that aimed for any of you in particular?"

"Afraid not, Commander. It's somewhere North-East from us judging by the direction of the sound... it could be Scavengers, fighting for supplies."

Klaus slightly zoomed in the drone's camera feed, switching to thermal vision and scanning the direction where the sound was believed to have originated from. No sign of scavengers scouring the whole length of his search. He narrowed his eyes, in disbelief at how difficult this sector was due to the amount of buildings and debris that dotted the whole display of the digital map.

He's had enough of this.

"417, I'm going down to street level. Resume sweep with your squad members, prepare for counter-sniper measures."

"Affirmative, Commander."

The fact that the subordinate dubbed as 417 allowed a superior to leave his temporary post meant that trust had already formed between the two or the T-Doll simply knew what he was capable of.
