Susie's Hardship

Disclaimer - While I understand a good bit of Lore regarding Kirby Planet Robobot, I may not know everything there is, not that this story will even include everything. I'll make sure not to go completely off the rails with it but at the same time please don't hate me for mistaking a tiny detail in the lore. This read is not entirely for the sake of the Lore.

This read takes place a good while after the events of Heros in Another Dimension. Hope you enjoy the read.

POV - Y/N
Y/N: OOW!!!

I hurt my back again trying to move this heavy stuff around. Does Susie really need all these? How should I really know, I mean the girl has a lot on her shoulders already repairing.. everything, I wasn't really paying attention to whatever it was, but I know that some huge project of hers blew something during testing.

I've never been much of a robotics guy but the idea always seemed to appeal to me, I mean machinery designs were a mind blowing concept alone when done properly.

Someone finally came to aid me in response to my cry.

Susie: Y/N?

Y/N: S-Sorry, just... just a bunch of heavy stuff.

Susie: I understand. If you must take a break please do so. I've seen enough fall apart on me today, you better not be next.

Y/N: Hmhm, thanks Susie. I'll be fine though.

Susie: If thats what you wish. Thank you again for helping me move the blown pieces, it means a lot to me and the cleanup crew.

Y/N: Yeah, yeah no problem..

I could have asked what this was all for again but I didn't bother making her repeat herself. She didn't seem to like doing that anyway.

Susie: ... If there's anything you can't handle you'll tell me, right?

Y/N: Of course Susie, its just lifting is all.

Susie: Of course.. if you need anything you know where I'll be..

Y/N: Al- She had already walked off ... Alright Susie...

She seems upset again... We have been close friends for a good while now so I would typically be the first person to notice something when she was acting like this. Its been a thing thats been happening more frequently, the general idea between everyone being that she's still having trouble getting over the loss of her Father. If this true, I need to set everything down and comfort her, maybe I'm capable of helping if I just get up and do it.

Besides... she's cute when she's happy and I like that. I'll sit down with her and ask about it when she doesn't feel miserable.

Several hours pass, but I've managed to move everything, a few Waddledees coming in and helping me finish off towards the end. As I was heading home I couldn't get Susie out of my head. I hated seeing her down all the time considering she was one if my only friends. Hopefully when she gets at least a little better I'll be able to help out. Right now I need to leave her to herself, a goodnight's rest can usually help with things like these.

Tomorrow

Another bright and beautiful day. The first thing I do is get a.. "text" from Susie. Or at least I think thats what this is. These phone things are weird but Susie's been mass producing them and everyone in Popstar seems to enjoy them. They shave off a lot of traveling time when you can just make calls and adjust for plans with others.
