Sakusa turned around at the sound of her voice only to once again see her with her head stuffed inside of the book. However this time he could ever so slightly see that she kept peaking over its edge to see if he had left yet. Deciding that Yasue wanted him to leave he quickly let out a small thank you, picked up his phone and left with a quiet Komori following after him.
Yasue was sat there alone now. This was should have allowed her to focus more, so why was she finding it so hard to. She let out an inaudible sigh before packing her books back up, there was no point of studying now.
The hallways were becoming fuller as it had gotten closer to class time, making Yasue so much more uncomfortable walking down them. Her head was down as to try and avoid making eye contact, even though no one was looking at her. The classroom door was already open so she just very quickly made her way to her seat. The room only had one other student who was diligently working on something unknown. Causing her to calm down more.
Taking her books back out she started getting ready for the lesson that would be taking place very soon. Just as Yasue had finished arranging everything all the students from the clubs came running into the classroom, followed closely behind the teacher. One of those students was Sakusa who immediately seemed to make eye contact with the girl.
Blushes were present on their faces. The teenagers quickly broke eye contact with each other again, never feeling confidant enough to verbally exchange greetings. The two sat in their seats which were not too far away from each other, waiting for their lesson to start.
The lesson passed quickly. The two of them quickly going their own ways, Sakusa to the gym and Yasue to the library. Yasue relished in the silence of the library, now used to being surrounded by noisy people. She had planned to finish her Physics textbook while there but there was one thing bugging her. It was being alone which had become such a strange thing in the library.
There was always a certain someone making his way in here and over to her to which he was unknowingly annoying her. But now that he was not there, the silence was overwhelming. So overwhelming that she suddenly stands up, making everyone around her look at her due to the sudden noise. Her bag gets haphazardly packed before she is very briskly walking towards the giant blossom tree that sits outside of the gym. The swishing of the trees was rather soothing for the girl and the light breeze helped her to get back into a peaceful state.
She looked down and saw how unorganised her bag was and quickly sat down on the bench, starting to reorganise her bag. She was so entranced with sorting that she didn't hear the footsteps heading in her direction. A throat was cleared and prompted her to look up at the person.
Stood there was a very awkward looking Sakusa looking down at her. He was still in his gym kit and looked like he was holding a water bottle. She quickly stood back up and looked down. They stood their in silence for a minute.
"So... What are you doing out here?" Sakusa started, getting straight to the point.
"Oh, I uh... Got overwhelmed in my studies so I came out here for a break..." Yasue shyly stuttered.
Sakusa looked behind her seeing her bag packed differently, obviously she was telling the truth. He looked at her again and saw that she was fiddling with her fingers obviously nervous.
"Well, if you want... You can come in and watch us practice. It might help you calm down and take a break" he started to mutter, already somewhat regretting giving her the offer.
"Are you sure, won't I get in the way?"
The two of them just stand there for a second before Sakusa starts to walk back to the gym. The girl just stood their looking at his retreating back. He quickly turned around and looked at her as if he was telling her to get moving. Yasue gained a bright smile before picking up her half sorted bag and jogging to catch up with him and the two continued to the gymnasium.
The two of them walked through the doors and the whole gym went quiet. Yasue looked up and saw all the other boys looking at them with their mouths agape. She looked down shyly as she wasn't used to all the attention from people. There was a pull at the bottom of her sleeve to see that Sakusa had grabbed it slightly and was beckoning her to move with him, in which she did.
The two of them walked over to the benches and Sakusa put his bottle down before letting go of her sleeve and walking back onto the court, leaving Yasue to sit there and calm down. She got out one of her note books and started writing down some quick notes as to not be idle, also not to make the rest of the volleyball team uncomfortable.
She did look up however when she heard the sound of a ball hitting the floor. Looking up she was flabbergasted at how majestic the team looked while playing the game. They all had such focused looks on their face that it makes Yasue second guess their suggestion of becoming manager, she wanted to be part of this but can she?
