"Passengers on flight 480, please make your way to the gate, departure time is in 5 minutes"
I turned and smiled eagerly at my two friends, their watery eyes watching me intently.
"Please don't go, Bear, what the hell are we going to do without you?" Karri said while pulling me in for a final hug. I squeezed her tightly for a moment or two, truely enjoying the contact for once.
"Oh please, you two will be fine without me, besides, I'll be calling you both that much you'll be wishing I were in South Korea instead of London"
Claire and Karri gave each other knowing glares, almost as if they were having a private conversation in a language I didn't understand. I didn't care, they were sisters after all, I wouldn't be able to understand anything about them even if I tried.
"Well, I better get going, or I'll be stuck here with you lot and that'll make me miserable" I joked, earning a laugh and a shove.
"We love you Charlie Bear" Claire said while pulling Karri towards the exit. I blew them both a kiss, feeling a singular tear rush down my cheek.
Karri was always terrible at goodbyes, she never failed to absolutely ball it when we departed ways for different reasons. Claire and I found them upsetting, but we never shed tears like she did. It always made it harder whenever we wouldn't see each other in awhile, and in this case, our time apart could be even longer then what we're used to.

The flight to London was rather breezy, it stretched on for over 22 hours, but I found it easier to sleep for a large majority of it. I thought I would feel some kind of stress or anxiety during the flight, but I had already began paying off my new apartment, and all of my belongings fit in two suitcases, so I quite literally had the ability to start a new life, and no one would bloody know any different.
My plane landed just after 6pm and I eagerly made my way to collect my suitcases. I was used to travelling, so packing light was a specialty of mine. I slid my headphones down to sit around my neck and quickly hailed a cab. I was more then excited, the weather was lovely and snow littered the ground, I couldn't wait to get into bed and get warm.
The buildings we passed on the way to my complex were mesmerising. I'm sure to people who have called this place home a lot longer then myself think of these as boring. But at the moment, I honestly couldn't get enough.
I tipped the driver and stepped into the harsh wind. I was on the sixth floor, but I couldn't of been more ecstatic. The street my building was set on was full of life. Different stalls littered the sidewalks with variety's of foods and shops flashed brilliantly with dozens of colours.
I rushed into the building, making sure to be friendly to the doorman as he flashed a charming smile.
"Hiya love, would you like me to escort you to your room? What floor would you be staying on?"
"Oh, my names Charlie, and floor six? I'm not from here so you showing me would probably save a lot of trouble- for me mostly" I said while laughing, he chuckled to himself as he grabbed both my bags. He was truely a gentleman but apart of me was worried he would struggle with the weight of my luggage. He appeared to be in his late fifties and I felt a tad guilty.
"Are you sure you don't want me to take one?..."
"Johnny, me name is Johnny love, and don't sweat it, you look like you've had a very busy day" he said reassuringly.
Johnny helped me to the front desk and grabbed me my keys. He told me the different things our complex has to offer, which included a gym as well as a pool. I wasn't a very physical person, and that truely showed with how much weight I put on since last year, but I was working on my mental health more then my physical appearance, and Ben and Jerry's ice cream didn't fit any diet regime I found on the internet.
