Hours were passing and the beginning of the party was growing closer. In his room, Heinrich was contemplating about what happened to Alice: she had always shown affection in unorthodox fashion, but a scene like that? That was absolutely not normal. He stood up from his bed where he was sitting, and opened a drawer: a variety of watches and ties revealed in front of him. There was also a little bag, made of ruined black leatherish tissue, hidden behind a box of one of his most expensive watches: he took it and opened it gently, revealing what was inside. He caressed it, and then closed the bag again, hiding it in its exact spot. He then took a light green tie with black decorations, that kinda looked like tendrils. If he had to go to the party, he would have chosen a more casual style, even though for him elegance meant a lot. He put a nice green blazer on, and pants of the same color. A pair of black leather shoes, and he was ready. He looked in his mirror a lot, trying to understand what he was looking at: what was him, really? That was a question that had haunted him since he discovered the truth. His memories started to flow, before they stopped at his sight of something new: a little strip of green, on his left side of the neck. It was extremely little, but for his overpowered senses, he could see it. The idea of turning into something horrific, like he knew could happen, froze him for a second. But then, his analytic mind took control, and he just moved his tie and shirt so that they'd cover the rash looking sign he had, and then he went out. Wanting or not, he had to go to the party. And even if he'd never admitted it to anyone, he wanted to go.
Adora was getting ready as well: she had put on a dress that her father gifted her, a cyan long one, with some heels to raise her up. She had decided that if Osborne would have come, she would have looked at him from above. She took one of her pendants, a majestic one inlaid with diamonds, and she put it on. She took out her phone, took a selfie in front of the mirror and sent it to the family group. Her father replied with a simple "Nice look", while her mother kept complementing her for her look, giving her advices for her makeup, and her sister cheered up with a "SLAY" and a few emojis of explosions. She replied with some red hearts, and then closed the chat. She took a last look in the mirror, and adjusted her look following her mother's advice. She was ready.
Zion spent most of her time deciding how she wanted to look, but then decided to go with a classic: one of her mother's dresses, a purple one, a little darker than her hair. Her eyeliner and lipstick chosen were the same color of her hair, and her shoes were going to be the same color as well. She then used her magic to create that perfect look she had in mind, and the result was stunning: she looked amazing. She valued the idea of calling her mother and asking her how she looked, but then thought that she was probably busy with who knows what kind of magical being, and desisted. She checked on her watch, and opened the door, going to the place Nora had previously informed they'd gather up: from there, the girls would have guided them to the party room. She opened the door and started to go.
Anthony was texting his father about the experience, and as per usual, his father asked for a blood sample. The boy did it, and used his medical kit to take it and uploaded the information on the dropbox he shared with his father. Bruce checked on them deeply, but didn't find nothing worrying about his levels. That put both Banners at ease, and Anthony then asked his father about some fashion advices for the party: the result ended up with him putting a purple shirt (pure Banner fashion) and a black suit. He tried to comb his hair, but probably one of the secret side effects of his gamma powers was uncontrollable hair, so he just gave up after a few minutes. Maybe Zion wouldn't have noticed about that... Not that her particular opinion mattered, of course.
They all met in a hall near the teleportation room: Nora was wearing a red dress, with a big overcoat with flowers decoration, and Avalon was wearing a more "masculine" outfit, with dark boots, skinny black pants with a blue skirt, a black shirt and a blue leathery jacket. -We rock guys!- shouted Adora while she was spinning with her dress, looking at the others as well. Nora clapped a little, nodding, and Avalon just smiled. Zion turned red when she and Anthony made eye contact, and Banner averted his eyes quickly, trying to not blush as well. -You look good...- he said getting a little closer -Thanks...- she answered raising up her eyes from the ground. The sudden silence made them feel observed, and as soon as they had started to look around, they saw the other three girls looking at them, Avalon smirking, Nora with her hands on her mouth like she had just seen a cute puppy and Adora nodding like an encouragement. -Guys, come on!- complained Zion, while Anthony was blushing hard and was taking a few steps -No no please, go on- said Nora, while Adora told to Banner -I thought your family turned green when anxious, not red- -If you continue, I might...- he answered her giving her his back as he was trying to not blush harder. -Come on, Adora, are you recording?- asked Zion looking at Wayne's hands, that were holding casually her phone pointed in their direction; -No...- she answered putting it slowly away and pressing pretty obviously a button on it -Girl, I will remember this- replied Zion looking at her with fake annoyance, before Avalon stated -I believe it's time for us to go. Looks like the party is starting outside the room- and the group started to move following the lead of the older girls. Anthony calmed himself down and turned his head, following with his eyes the girls, and met with the eyes of Zion, who had turned as well making sure he was following them. The two shared a look that seemed an eternity even if it was just for a second, then she beckoned to follow them before turning back and started walking. He found himself looking down at the finishing part of her back, before clearing his throat to reactivate his neurons and started following them. -Are we going to meet with the funniest man in the school?- asked Adora to the leading girls, and Avalon shrugged her shoulders before answering -I've no idea. All I can tell is that he's not here- -Wow, I didn't notice- replied Adora before looking back over her shoulder, and noticed that the two lovebirds were slowly getting one near the other. She smiled internally, before realizing that even if they had met just a few hours before, they were already creating a bond that would have held a place in her heart.
