Chapter 2: Week 1 in the Captial

Y/n rolled over to shut off the alarm next too his bed. Closing his eyes and wrapping his arm back around what he thought to be his girlfriend.

Ellie:" Y/n wake up!" She yelled at him

Y/n:" Yea coach I'm ready, huh oh I overslept?" He questioned as she face plamed

Ellie:" Yeah you did and your gonna be late for your first game" she barked as he hopped out and I ran too the bathroom.

Y/n:" Damn! I gotta go love you" he yelled rushing out of the bathroom down to his Lamborgin Urus

Having to make the 45 minute drive Y/n turned on his playlist to lock in for gameday. He knew this was going to be his hardest game yet. Even with all the drama sourounding the team he just wanted to ball

Pulling up to the players lot he was let in by security and parked next to a black bently truck. Which happened to be his teammate Terry Maclurin. The two exited their cars before greeting each other

Terry:" Yo wasgood rook" he greeted him

Y/n:" Locked in for today, debut and all" he replied back

Terry:" They don't know what you do outside the building, shock the world" he said giving him words of encouragement

Continue their conversation on the walk into the locker room. As he greeted staff and teammates a like through before stopping at his locker. It read 7 Mahomes something unreal too the 21 year old. But Y/n still had a job too do, a whole team counting on him, a whole fanbase, and his biggest fans of all his family to not disappoint.

With that in mind, Y/n put in his Airpod Pros anf his compression shirt & shorts before walking out to the field to warm up. Walking out to the field he took it in. Y/n got some warm ups in along with a feel for the grass.

Heading back into the locker room he was stopped by his coach Ron Rivera.

Ron:" Mahomes I trust fully in you to lead us to a win today" he told the QB

Y/n:" Thank you for trusting me coach" he replied gratefully

Ron:" Go out their be great, I've seen you be one of the hardest workers in my years of football" he commented to the young qb

Those words meant something , he had to live up to a lot. His brother already a Superbowl champ and MVP. His twin a Naithsmith womens player of the year. Leave a legacy was his goal something everyone wants to look up too.

Walking back it was finally true game time. Live action not pre-season where Y/n would play the first drive them get subbed out. Full game of ups and downs. Calling plays and delivering on them.

He returned to the locked seeing his pad's sitting their along with his SpeedFlex helmet. The QB put the final touches to his gameday drip of a wristband on each wrist along with the Nike Vapor 360 cleats. Before returning to the field for team warm ups

After going through a few reps as his back up Taylor Henicke came to take some he went to his Wide Receiver core to speak with them.

Y/n:" Aye y'all tell me any small things you see about that secondary we work as one" he told them as they nodded before veteran WR Cam Sims who was a massive 6'5 spoke.

Cam:" Aye trust me in that endzone we delivering" he affirmed

Y/n:" Y'all boys all eating out their don't worry" he reassured them before going over to his TE's & RB's saying the same thing.
