A/N: Sorry for taking so long to update, School's been hella stressful. This chapter takes place  years before the main story (And king is aged up by two years, so he is 6 years old in this and you are 11)

Edalyn, the rumored "Owl Lady" was "peacefully" frying a few Griffin eggs. Most people wouldn't be frying them so casually, due to their...costly price, especially at such a late night, but Edalyn didn't have any food left. And the sound of hard rain hitting the roof of her house proved to be a challenge if she were to go out.

Hopefully the rain will have gone by the time she had finished the eggs. Nevertheless she was frying only three eggs, which shouldn't be too wasteful. One for her, one for her demon, tube, bird thing?, Hooty, and for King-

The sudden knock at her door alarmed her. Her alarm soon turned to suspicion as she approached the door, grabbing Owlbert, her palisman, but not without it first hitting her in the head.

Normally, she'd ask Hooty to check the door, but he was currently asleep during the rain, so she'll have to check for herself. Besides, if someone was willing to go in the boiling rain just to see her, it's either important or an enemy. Then again, who'd be dumb enough to knock on The Owl Lady's door, at night, in the Boiling rain with no escape.

Against her better judgement, she put her hand on the door handle, and opened it.

She saw two hooded figures. The taller one was wearing a dark greyish-blue hood, that perfectly hid their entire body. The shorter one's cloak covered less of their body, clearly showing their two tails with flames on the end. The light from the house helped illuminate the white cloak the short one was wearing, it was white, and by the hood was a golden tri-

"Emperor's Coven, of course they are." Edalyn said in a clearly annoyed tone. Recently, the Emperor's Coven had been bothering her more than usual in the market, trying to convice her to join their Coven or something like that.

Edalyn quickly drew a spell circle with her hands even though she had Owlbert. The taller Coven member spoke up, in an all too familiar voice.

"Edalyn, wait!" The harsh voice of her sister caused Edalyn to cancel the spell circle, but she still had her guard up.

"Lily, why are you here? I've told you and your useless Coven Scouts that I'm not joining the Emperor's Coven." The annoyance in Edalyn's voice was obvious, but "Lily" tried to ignore it.

"I haven't come here for that, Edalyn" Lilith said as she pulled down her hood, and gestured towards the shorter cloaked figure.

"I'll be leaving Bones Borough for a few weeks and," She takes off your hood, revealing an eleven year old Demon, a Flamrie to be exact.

"I don't trust the other Scouts to take care of them, so I figured I'd take them to you. Edalyn, this is my...this is Y/n, the Emporer has entrusted me with them." Edalyn raised an eyebrow in suspicion, but quickly put a hand over her mouth, trying to cover her laughter.

Lilith was clearly tired and irritated, but she was desperate as hell to not let you fall into the wrong hands. Which was ironic considering the person she was planning on entrusting you to was her sister, a wanted criminal.

"Wow, Lilith, really thought I'd fall for that? What is this, an elaborate way to convince me to join?" Edalyn laughed some more, but her laughter was quickly shut down when she looked at Lilith.

Lilith's expression looked like a mixture of annoyance, but the poorly hidden fear and desperation in it told a different story. A deafening silence formed between the two sisters, neither one of them making any moves to continue their discussion.

"You're serious about this..?" Edalyn asked, breaking the silence.

"Yes Edalyn. If you agree, I can guarantee that my Scouts won't bother you for as long as Y/n in your care." Lilith asked in complete seriousness. Edalyn inhaled deeply

"Fine, I'll do it,but I want one more thing from you." Edalyn smirked as she looked at he sister, trying to lighten the uncomfortable mood. Lilith got slightly nervous, unsure of what her sister might want.

"Atleast a month's worth of Apple blood, it's in season, and the prices have gone up, I nearly had to give an arm and a leg to get some, literally." Edalyn sighed in annoyance at her own statement.

Lilith was almost surprised she would asked her that. Then again, it is her sister afterall.

"Fine Edalyn. We both agree to these terms?" Lilith asked.

"I would, but how do I know you won't double cross me?"

And with that, Lilith drew a spell circle that will bond the both of them to thair contract. Lilith put her hand in the spell circle, like she was going to shake someone's hand.

"So you care and protect Y/n for as long as I am gone, and in exchanged, my guards won't hunt you and you will get you precious Apple blood. Deal?"

"Deal." Edalyn shook Lilith's hand. And with that, the contract was sealed.

"I will be taking my leave now. Please take good care of Y/n. But mark my words Edalyn, if I see a single scratch on them I will personally make sure you will never see the night market again." Lilith looked at Edalyn intensely, but turned to you and whispered something in your ear, too quiet for Edalyn to hear.

Edalyn looked at you in an akward silence. She gestured for you to come in the house. Naturally, you were very nervous. You had heard from your aunt and the other Scouts about Edalyn, but this is your first time meeting her in person.

You sat down on a couch, but open sitting down, you saw a small black dog with horns? It had a skull on its head, but it looked to be sleeping. You hadn't speant too long outside of the castle, so you didn't question it, you just sat next to it.

"Y/n, right?" You nodded at Edalyn. "You hungry? King is sleeping, so I have an extra griffin egg...Shit! I left the stove on-" Edalyn ran out of the room to the kitchen. Luckily, only one egg was burnt.Edalyn gives you a plate with an egg, and you eat it.

"So...Miss Edalyn? What are you going to do with the burnt egg?" You asked as politely as possible, trying to be respectful to your 'Aunt'.

"Please, just call me Eda. And for the egg, the rain stopped so that should mean," Eda throws the egg in the air, and out of nowhere, an owl, bird, tube, thing? Eats it. You take note of the large amount of teeth in its mouth.

"Howdy, I'm Hooty-" With a broom, Eda hits Hooty and he leaves.

"Shit, the rain's starting again. Hey kid," You turn your head to her, and see her shuffling a deck of cards. She lays it out on the table she gestures for you to sit opposite her. You sit down and look at her once more. She smirks.

"You know how to play Hexes Hold-em?"

A/n: Hope you enjoyed the chapter on how Y/n met her aunt. In the extra chapters, their relationship will be explored more. Bye for now
