Y/N and Jennie had broke up over a year ago. It was hard for both of the girls. Jennie broke up with Y/N, going tour wasn't easy for their relationship. They both became distant as time went on. Jennie was in LA at the time of the break up. They met up, they both knew it wasn't the same as it used to be. Jennie said it first, repeatedly saying she wishes she didn't have too but it wasn't working anymore. Y/N knew it was for the best and agreed. It was mutual but Jennie always felt like it was her fault.

It was 2am. Jennie always had these late nights, pacing around, stuck in her thoughts. Jennie regretted breaking up with Y/N. She knew it could've worked if she put more effort in. She would pace around the house in the early hours of the morning, thinking about Y/N and how much she missed her girl. Jennie wondered how Y/N was, she hadn't seen her since the break up.

Jennie always thought of calling Y/N, asking her how she is, just something to ease Jennie's thoughts and aching heart. Jennie pulled out her phone. She sat at the kitchen counter, opening her contacts and staring at Y/N's name. She stared for a few more minutes before hitting the contact name impulsively. She regretted it the minute the first ring came through the speaker.

"Fuck..." Jennie mumbled. "Please don't pick up." Jennie repeated anxiously. Thankfully for Jennie, Y/N didn't pick up, instead it went to her answering machine. The beep came through, signaling Jennie to leave a message. "Um.. Hey Y/N. I know it's been a long time and I'm sorry for calling you out of nowhere. I just wanted to know how you are, I hope everything's well and life is treating you good..." Jennie rambled on before abruptly stopping.

She sat in silence for a bit before confessing, "Y/N, I miss you. I think about you all the time. Breaking up with you was the stupidest thing I've ever done. I'm sorry and I'd do anything to have you back in my life. I love you so much and I'm sorry." Jennie said, tears in her eyes. She hung up and dropped her phone down on the counter.

Jennie sat there crying her eyes out before realizing what she had just done. She stood up, "Fuck! Why did I just do that?" Jennie shouted. Jennie knew she had to get rid of that message before it was too late and Y/N heard it. Y/N didn't live too far so Jennie made it her mission to go get the tape from Y/N's answering machine. She grabbed her coat and started walking to Y/N's house, hoping she wouldn't be there.

As Jennie walked, all she could think about was how what she said was true. She did miss Y/N, she was still in love with her and would do anything for a second chance with her. Jennie would kill just to see Y/N's face again. To have the chance to hold her again. Kiss her again. Anything. Jennie shook the thoughts and carried on walking.

Jennie finally made it to Y/N's house. She noticed all the lights were out, either Y/N was asleep or she was out. Jennie quietly opened the back door. She knew Y/N kept her answering machine in the kitchen so it was the quickest way to get in and out. Jennie made her way into the kitchen and found the machine, she took the tape and put it inside her jacket. She made her way out of the house quickly and started walking home.

Jennie had made it to her street. She spotted her house, the lights were on. Jennie started to panic a bit. Had someone broke in? Did Jennie leave the door unlocked? Jennie walked up to the house cautiously. She could hear someone inside. Jennie stood outside the front door.

The front door was wide open. Jennie noticed someone coming out of the house. "Jennie!" The voice called and ran towards her. Jennie smiled seeing the person. It was Y/N. "You came?" Jennie asked in disbelief . "You called?" Y/N said confused.

"I know... I just didn't expect you to actually come." Jennie said bashfully, looking down. Y/N walked closer to Jennie. "Where were you?" Y/N said, admiring how cute Jennie looked right now. "Um... I just went out to get some air." Jennie said quietly. Y/N raised an eyebrow at her. "What's poking out of your jacket Jen?" Y/N said suspiciously before grabbing the tape out of Jennie's jacket.

Jennie sighed, "I'm sorry. I felt stupid after I sent you that voicemail, I didn't want you to hear it. I broke up with you, I shouldn't be begging for you back. I don't deserve you back. I should've fought for our relationship when I had it and I'm sorry. We can forget this even happened. I'll leave you alone." Jennie said, still looking down at her shoes.

Y/N smiled, "What if I don't want you to leave me alone?" Jennie's head rose, surprise written all over her face. What?" Jennie said. Y/N laughed dryly. "I'm glad you left that message Jen. I've missed you so much. If you didn't call me, I probably would've called you. You just beat me to it. I should've fought too, it was our relationship." Y/N said, smiling at Jennie.

Jennie smiled back anxiously. "Do you think we could try again?" Jennie asked Y/N, a blush creeping up her cheek. Y/N smiled, taking Jennie's face in her hands and kissing her. Jennie smiled into the kiss. "I'll take that as a yes." Jennie said with a laugh. Y/N laughed and kissed Jennie again.
