In Emerald City, peace fills the air, with every citizen helped by another in every scenario, the hometown of the soon-to-be hero.

A blue blur runs quickly on the road before stopping in front of a storefront

StoreOwner: Thank you for picking up my packages Sonic

Standing there the short blue blur Sonic holding three boxes, places them on the table

Sonic: No problem man! Just doing what has to do!

StoreOwner: Yeah, and with those powers of yours it must make it so easy

Sonic smiling makes a thumbs up at the store owner

Sonic: You bet! anyway, I promised my parents I would be back before Nine, and it's already eight-fifty!

Sonic speeds off taking it slower than normal taking in the view

The sky fills with dark

Sonic thinks to himself: Hm it's not even ten yet, it shouldn't be dark

Just then robots rain from the sky, no, a ship from the sky

Sonic in shook, runs around trying to get people into safe buildings before realizing the Robots are destroying them with ease

The people of this town take out different types of weapons to try and fight back

Sonic: Wait my speed might be in handy here

Sonic starts to spin dash around destroying robots but for every robot he defeats, 5 towns folk fall down

Before long his whole town was burned down Sonic's arm broke in the process bending the complete opposite way

Sonic: My family, my friends, gone... Who would want to do this?

Looking up into the ship he sees the name and icon of one brilliant scientist, Doctor Ivo Robotnik

Sonic passes out for many hours losing all hope, but in his dream, he sees some green mist that tells him to wake up

Sonic, waking up in a pile of ash, stands up looking at his broken arm popping it in "place" and bandaging it so it doesn't move much

Sonic: I... I couldn't stop this, how with how useful I was, why now

Sonic starts remembering the Icons of the one who did this

Sonic: That Egghead! I'll search the lands to stop him

Sonic grabs a bag from the ground and runs off till he makes it to the land of Green Hill seeing a bunch of animals being attacked by Robots before Sonic Spindashes into them

Sonic: Hey little ones! Don't Worry the Blur is here!!

One of the animals pokes his legs pointing at Robotnik in his EggMobile flying off with a capsule of Animals

Sonic: It's him again! Can't seem to take a break!

Sonic picks one of the animals up

Sonic: It's ok, little buddy, I'll stop him if it's the last thing I do

Sonic runs after Robotnik running through green hill before finding a gem on the ground

Sonic: Hm? What is-

Sonic picks it up feeling a little bit of energy flow through his body

Sonic: W-Woooo! Sweet!

A bunch of Robots comes up to Sonic staring at the emerald

Sonic: Oh? does Eggy want this? Guess I won't let him have it

He looks at the back of one of the robots seeing another emerald
