It was just 3 weeks before Christmas, and I still didn't know how to organize my house. Ever since my 16th birthday, I've moved in on my own in a small house. My best friend moved in with me, along with his dog. His name is Norman. Things were going pretty well.

That was until something happened. One day, I woke up as I usually would and made breakfast. I gave the dog some food while making pancakes with strawberries and orange juice for our breakfast.

When I finished cooking, I called out for Norman to come down to eat. I heard nothing from him, which was rather unusual because he would wake up early and was always on time.

I went to his room and found him awake, but he looked exhausted.

I asked him if he was all right. "Yes, I am fine. You worry too much about me." Although I heard him, I was still worried because he did not sound or look good. I heard him sneeze and cough. It seemed skeptical, so I rushed back to my room and got a thermometer. I then measured his temperature. To my surprise, he was as cold as ice! I started to worry more. "You are freezing! Plus, you do not sound good either. I am calling the hospital." I said sternly.

I immediately called the number. I waited for them to arrive, getting even more worried by the minute. Once they brought him to the hospital, they checked his condition. I waited once again for the news.

Doctor Mendoza went out of the operating room. She looked at me with a look on her face. I just knew that look. I knew it was bad. "Unfortunately, your friend has a very severe illness that causes him not to be able to breathe. It makes his body cold so we put some solutions for him while he is asleep and when he wakes up we will run some tests," she replied.

"W-what can I do to help?" She said, "There is nothing you can do till we get the results. I suggest that you go home and come tomorrow."

I was worried since he was the only best friend I had. I was in that moment where I could lose him forever. I went home and comforted the dog who was looking for him. I told her, "There is no point in looking, he's not here, he's sick."

I continued my day normally. Thinking about him... thinking of how I might lose him, and starting to blame myself for him getting sick.

How will Bliss deal with her life without him? This is my first book ever, and my first entry, hope you enjoy it and please feel free to give me any recommendations or any feedback.
