Chapter 3: Are we wrong

Taehyung and Jennie met again at a music show and surely they had indescribable feelings for each other. They exchanged real phone numbers (not their staffs' numbers anymore) and started texting and calling each other every day. They found out that they had a lot in common and enjoyed each other's company. They decided to date secretly, knowing that their fans and agencies would not approve of their relationship. They only met at night, in secluded places, wearing masks and hoodies. They cherished their time together and felt happy and free.

One day, Jennie had a schedule at a TV station and Taehyung came to visit her. He brought her flowers and a necklace as a gift. They took a selfie together in her dressing room and Jennie set it as her phone wallpaper. She forgot to lock her phone and left it on the table when she went to the bathroom. A sasaeng fan who had followed her saw the opportunity and sneaked into the dressing room. She saw the phone screen and gasped. She quickly took a picture of it with her own phone and ran away.

She uploaded the picture on social media and captioned it: "BREAKING NEWS: TAEHYUNG AND JENNIE ARE DATING!!!" The picture spread like wildfire and soon everyone was talking about it. Fans of both idols were shocked, angry, and betrayed. They accused Taehyung and Jennie of lying, cheating, and being unfaithful to their fans. They sent them hate messages, death threats, and petitions to kick them out of their groups. Anti-fans also joined in the bashing and spread false rumors about their relationship.

Taehyung and Jennie were devastated by the backlash. They felt guilty, scared, and helpless. They tried to contact each other but their phones were flooded with notifications and calls. Their agencies also called them and demanded them to explain themselves. They were told to deny the relationship and apologize to their fans. They were also banned from seeing each other or contacting each other.

They felt trapped and suffocated by the situation. They started to question their love and wonder if it was worth it. They missed each other terribly but they didn't know how to fix things. They decided to meet up one last time and talk about their future. They met at a park at night, wearing masks and hoodies again. They hugged each other tightly and cried.

They looked into each other's eyes and tried to find the words to say. They wanted to stay together but they also didn't want to hurt their fans or ruin their careers. They loved each other but they also loved their music and their dreams. They didn't know what to do or what to choose.

Jennie held Taehyung's hands and whispered: "I love you."

Taehyung kissed softly and said: "I'm sorry."
