Kumiko Hakanai was born into a family of Demon Slayers. Her father was the Flower Hashira, and her mother was the Insect Hashira. Growing up, Kumiko was determined to follow in her parents' footsteps and become a Demon Slayer herself.
However, Kumiko faced a hurdle when she began her Demon Slayer training. She couldn't master either Flower or Insect Breathing, despite her parents' best efforts to teach her. As she struggled through her training, Kumiko began to feel like she would never be able to become a Demon Slayer.
When the final selection exam approached, Kumiko was desperate to find a way to pass. She turned to her parents for help and began to learn Insect Breathing from her mother and Flower Breathing from her father. But even with both styles under her belt, Kumiko still didn't feel confident in her abilities.
With the exam looming, Kumiko began experimenting with different breathing styles, trying to find a way to merge the two styles she had learned. After months of trial and error, she finally stumbled upon a new breathing style that combined the speed of Insect Breathing with the elegance of Flower Breathing. She named her new style Blood Sakura Breathing.
With her new technique, Kumiko was able to pass the final selection exam and become a Demon Slayer. She quickly rose through the ranks and eventually became the Blood Sakura Hashira, one of the most powerful Demon Slayers in the corps.
As the Blood Sakura Hashira, Kumiko fought tirelessly against demons, always pushing herself to be stronger and more skilled. She became known for her expertise in medical arts, frequently aiding other Demon Slayers with her knowledge of medicine and healing.
When Kumiko gave birth to Amai, she decided to train her daughter in the art of Blood Sakura Breathing. Kumiko taught Amai everything she knew, hoping that her daughter would carry on her legacy and become a skilled Demon Slayer herself.
Kumiko eventually retired from active demon slaying, but she remained a respected member of the Demon Slayer Corps. She became an advisor to the new generation of Demon Slayers, offering guidance and advice based on her many years of experience.
Today, Kumiko is remembered as a legendary Demon Slayer and the creator of Blood Sakura Breathing. Her legacy lives on through her daughter and the many other Demon Slayers who have used her technique to fight against the forces of evil.
