Blood Sakura Breathing was an art created by Amai's mother, Kumiko. Her father was the Flower Hashira and her mother was the Insect Hashira, but despite this, Kumiko could not master either breathing style. The final selection exam was around the corner, and Kumiko was desperate to find a way to pass the test. She turned to her parents for help and began to learn Insect Breathing from her mother and Flower Breathing from her father.
In the end, Kumiko couldn't help but feel like the styles weren't enough for her. She trained day and night, seeking a way to merge the two styles into a single, powerful technique. Finally, after much experimentation, Blood Sakura Breathing was born.
Blood Sakura Breathing was a style that required a great amount of speed and quickness. Those who used Insect Breathing had to be quick on their feet, while those who used Flower Breathing had to be graceful and elegant. Blood Sakura Breathing combined the two styles, offering a unique blend of both speed and elegance.
During the final selection exam, Kumiko used Blood Sakura Breathing to defeat her opponents and become a Demon Slayer. She eventually rose through the ranks and became the Blood Sakura Hashira, but eventually retired when she had Amai.
Kumiko took it upon herself to teach Amai the technique when she was old enough, and Amai eventually became a Demon Slayer herself. After much hard work, Amai started to get paid for her work as a Demon Slayer, and she decided to save up her money to build an estate for herself.
After a year of building, Amai's estate was complete. It was named The Blossom Estate, and Amai turned it into a medical center for injured Demon Slayers. She was quite knowledgeable in the medical field and even learned how to make Shinobu's poison, though she never used it.
Amai continued to refine her skills with Blood Sakura Breathing, developing a number of different forms for use in combat. These included Wilting Sakura, Blood Spring, Petals, Crimson Blood, Wild Blossom, Tranquil Cherry, Bloom, and Eternal Blossom. Each of these forms was carefully crafted to suit a specific purpose in battle, allowing Amai to adapt to any situation and emerge victorious.
