Harry was taken aback by Louis' question. Sure, he liked Louis. He liked him a lot. But he knew this was moving too fast. He knew that if they rushed into it, there was a greater chance of things not working out. And that was the last thing Harry ever wanted.

"Lou, I-I don't know... Don't you think this is a bit too soon?" Louis' eyes went from looking excited and expecting to disappointed and hurt.

"Well, I guess..? I just thought- I thought you wanted the same thing." Louis' eyes had tears forming in them. He had put himself out there and built up enough courage to ask Harry to be his boyfriend, and even though he understood Harry's reason, it didn't make rejection any less difficult. "Clearly I was wrong."

Harry felt awful that Louis was so upset. "Lou, babe, today was amazing. I really like you a lot, and I do see this going somewhere. I just don't want to rush into things." As a tear fell down Louis' cheek, Harry leaned down and kissed it away. "Don't cry, you didn't do anything wrong. I wanted you to sleep over, like as a friend? I'd like to get to know you even better."

Louis sniffed and looked into Harry's eyes, where he saw sincere honesty. "Okay." He smiled as he brushed his tears away, but it was still very clear that he was hurt. "So it's not me?"

"Of course not, Louis. You're clearly perfect." Harry stepped closer, close enough to hover above Louis and invade his personal space. "And maybe, just maybe, we could make out a little more."

By this point, Louis had cheered up, and was smiling back at Harry as they leaned toward each other. When their lips connected, the passion behind it was incredible, even as gentle as it was. Harry's tongue slid across Louis' bottom lip, sliding easily into his mouth. As their mouths formed together, hands wandered freely around the other's body. Louis was now laying flat on his back on the ground, with Harry straddling him.

When they finally pulled away, both had mussed hair from where fingers were tangled, Harry rested his forehead against Louis. They gazed into each others' eyes for what seemed like ages; blue on green in a dizzying stare. "You know, you're so hard for me to resist. Just know, I never said no. I just need more time to come up with an answer."

Louis nodded with understanding, smiling happily up at Harry. "Take your time, sweetcheeks, but don't keep me waiting too long." Catching Harry off guard with his cheeky comment, Louis was able to roll them around so he was now on top of Harry. He smirked proudly down at the surprised younger boy, but it was interrupted by a yawn. "So it's alright that I sleep over?"

Harry giggled as he wrapped his giant hands around Louis' petit waist, squeezing gently. Louis seemed to sink down into his touch, loving the feeling of Harry's touch. "Of course. As long as you don't feel uncomfortable sleeping in the same bed as me. I mean, I guess I could sleep on the floor if you wanted me too-"

"No, Harry. It's your bed. I don't mind sleeping close to you." He said the last line with a wink, lightening the tense mood that had settled around them. This made Harry laugh, as vulnerable as it made him feel. A whole night, sleeping next to the most perfect man he's ever seen. That could be a real deal-breaker.

It's not that he wanted to say no. If he didn't have past experience about rushing into relationships, he would've launched himself into Louis' arms and accepted his offer gladly. Oh, how badly he wanted to. But he had only just discovered how much he needed Louis in his life, how badly he wanted the man that he met at the coffee shop. He was different. Unlike anyone else Harry had dated, since he was clearly a guy, but that didn't mean a thing. Harry was sick of titles; gay or straight. He had known from when he's first met Louis that he was special. He wanted to be his boyfriend, to hold hands in public, to kiss him whenever he felt like it. After only a minimal amount of time, three days to be exact, he felt that he'd met his true match.

As corny as it may sound, his soul mate. His love at first sight. Louis made him the happiest he'd ever felt. He couldn't let the fear of failure cause Louis to slip through his grasp.

As both boys slipped into Harry's bed, the air was once again tense. Of course, they'd said it wouldn't be awkward. But saying something and actually feeling it are completely different things. Neither boy could feel the other's heart racing in his chest, couldn't feel the sweaty hands, or the butterflies in his stomach.

Sleeping in he same bed as nothing more than platonic friends, especially when they both wanted something more, could be an issue for both boys. As they both settled in, staring at the ceiling and avoiding the awkward eye contact they would make if they rolled over, Harry just couldn't take the pressure anymore. "Yes."

He heard Louis turn over in the bed, felt his eyes burning a confused gaze into Harry's mind. He could hear Louis' adorably confused giggle, "What?"

Harry took a deep breath in and out, steadying any last nerves before taking a huge step in his life. This was it, what he'd been waiting for. "Yes, Louis. I'll be your boyfriend."

Harry finally turned over to look into Louis' eyes, and he nearly cried at what he saw. He'd never seen someone look so genuinely happy about something Harry himself had said. Louis' smile warmed his heart with something a little more than happiness. His own smile mirrored Louis as they cherished this starting point in their relationship. Harry knew that he'd made a great decision. And as he intertwined their hands, shifted as close as possible to Louis, and connected their lips in a kiss that meant everything to him, he knew what he was feeling.

It was something he'd never felt before, even in his longest relationships, when he'd said the word but never really meant it. It was something that guaranteed that even though their relationship started so early, it would last. Harry was in love.

Sorry if the story is moving kind of fast. It's my first time writing anything like it, so it may not be my best work. There will be a few more parts to it, probably with a lot of smut. ;)
