Chapter 1: The beginning

Author's POV
One more day until the first day of UA. Torshinori was very excited, but as for, Enji he wasn't as excited because he would rather not become a hero but he as to because of his mother's orders, which he cannot go against. His mother had forced him to become a hero, so she could be famous and that she wouldn't have to deal with the so-called "mistake." Cause, according to her, he could never do right. She would hit him for the littlest things, those are 2 of the reasons she wants Enji to become a hero. The other reason is that she wants Enji as the best hero of them all and surpass all the other failures, and he would be the best, that caused her to be even more abusive than she already was, and she started to train Enji from early super hard and would also get mad if he asks for a break or falls down and would yell at him saying "oh come on! Are you seriously, that pathetic and weak! How can you ever become a hero to how pathetic you are? You are good for nothing, piece of crap!" And after she yells at him, she would hit him really hard or burn him with her quirk making him scream out in pain, begging and pledging for her to stop and when she does, she would yell at him again and tell him to stop acting like a baby and start acting like a man. Then she would drag him into the house and hit or burn him repeatedly, making him scream in agony, rolling on the ground and when she was finished, she would tell him to go up to his room and want there for her so she could torture him more. When she is done, she tells him to go and get himself cleaned and to go to bed because tomorrow is the first day of school, as she walked out we can only her Enji whimpering in pain on the floor and every time he moves even an inch his start to ache, but he power through the pain and went to the bathroom got cleaned and went to bed.

Enji's POV
I woke up with a hard slap on my face. I immediately woke up and looked to see who had slapped me. turns out it was, of course, my mother. She slapped me and said "wake up brat it's time to get ready for school" she said with a serious tone before walking off and the stopped again to say "remember to do amazing in school or there will be consequences, and you know what consequences I'm talking about." She said I felt shivers go down my spine and just stared in terror because I knew what was going to happen if I didn't do what she asked me to do, I sat there in bed for a couple of minutes and then finally decided to get out of bed and go to the bathroom to take a shower and go to school. When I finished taking a shower, I got dressed and went downstairs just to see my mother in the kitchen. I said "goodbye mom" and instead of a goodbye I got a "yea whatever and don't call me mom brat," when she said that I only nodded and went out the front door making my way to school.

Toshi POV
I woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon from in the kitchen that led into my room, so I got up and made my way downstairs to see my mother making breakfast. "Good morning mom" I said, "good morning dear." My mother said, "come and eat breakfast and get ready for school," "okay mom" I said and sat down and began to eat. "Are you excited for the first day of school?" My mother asked, "yes I am very excited" I said in a cheerful tone. My mother laughed and said, "okay mister go and take a shower and hurry along don't want to be late do you now?" "Okay." I said and went upstairs, took a shower, got dressed and went back downstairs, kissed my mother goodbye and went out of the front door, making my way to school.

Author's POV
On the way to school, Toshi ran into Enji. "Hi Enji" Toshi said joyful. "Are you ready for the first day of UA?" He asked "yes" Enji said "Yes I am very excited," He said, trying to force a smile. "Okay" Toshi said, "let's hurry, don't want to be late for the first day." He said, smiling, Enji hummed in response and they both hurried and walked to school, not wanting to be late, when they got there they went to the classes and trained but the entire time when they were training this girl named Rei kept on staring at Enji and blushing, she even went up to him and started to flirt. At first, Enji and Toshi were confused but immediately realized that Rei actually had a crush on Enji and wanted him for herself and didn't even want Toshi to hang out with him. One day, she tried to ask Enji to be her boyfriend, but he denied and said that he and Toshi were dating and that he didn't like her, after hearing that, she became angry and started to yell at him and call him mean names, which made him cry. Toshi saw this and yelled back at her and told her to leave them alone and never come back, She was furious and just glared at him and left. After she left, Toshi turned to Enji and kissed his cheek to tell him to calm down and that was alright. After hearing those word, Enji calmed down and smiled while looking at Toshi, Toshi smiled back and said it was time to go home. Enji nodded and smiled while he and Toshi left the school. Toshi dropped Enji home first and hurried and went to his house since Enji's mother didn't want Enji to talk to Toshi, after Toshi left, Enji went inside his house only to see Rei and his mother standing there waiting for him. She was looking at him in anger as Rei was smirking behind her, before Enji could say a word, he got a punch in the stomach by is mother, which made him fall to the ground and cough up blood, his mother stood there above him and pinned him down with her leg yelling "how dare you disobey me and talk to that boy?!, Only for him to make you a disgusting gay fag! And not only that, he yelled at your future wife?!?!" She said, while pressing down more on Enji. Even tho Enji was in a lot of pain he could not get his mind off what his mother said, "future wife?" He thought to himself before begging his mother to get off him and when she did, he got up and asked "future wife?" "Yes future wife," you and Rei will be getting married and have kids together." She said in a venomous tone, Enji froze and thought to himself before saying, "but what about Toshi?" His mother just smirked and looked at himself saying "your going to break up with that disgusting fag and marry Rei because I don't want a gay son" she said, Enji only felt his heart shattered broken at his mother's words, and before he could say anything his mother said that he would get married to Rei when his turns 17, Enji just nodded knowing that he couldn't go against his mother and was about to walk away when his mother stopped him and said "you have to break up with that disgusting fag boy before next week," Enji could feel himself sink but didn't let it show and said "yes ma'am" and walked away and went to his room, but instead of staying in his room he texted Toshi saying they need to meet and talk at a park. Toshi answered with an "okay." Minutes later, they both met at the park and sat down, he was going to ask what Enji wanted to talk about but only saw Enji starting to cry and saying "I'm sorry" over and over again. Toshi calmed him down and asked what he was sorry for, and Enji said that they had to break up. Toshi felt his heart break into a million pieces and asked" what why?!" Enji looked away and said that his mother had arranged and marriage for him and Rei. Hearing this made Toshi tear up but then stopped when Enji said that they can secretly date but cannot tell anyone, Toshi nodded and kissed Enji, and Enji kissed back before breaking it and saying that they have to go home now. Toshi nodded and kissed him one more time before they both left the park and went home.
