LUCAS POV

I woke up before the sun and Lacey was still in bed with me. She had fallen asleep in my arms but now, she was sprawled out, taking up the entire bed. Her head was on my pillow, her face inches from mine.

I smirked, noticing strands of long black hair stuck to her face. Her bare eyelashes rested on her pink cheeks. She was gorgeous. All I wanted to do was lean in and kiss her soft lips, despite the small amount of drool in the corner of her mouth. But, ignoring that strong desire, I slid out of bed and leaned over her, gently picking her up. Slowly, I brought her back to her room and laid her in the bed without waking her.

After that, I went back to my room and unwrapped my ankle. My injury my not been healed but it no longer hurt. Over the past three years, my pain tolerance has gone up drastically. I was used to pain and I was easily able to ignore it.

I left the cabin and walked to Aiden's. Sneaking around to the back, I found his window and knocked on it quietly. A minute later, it opened and Aiden poked his head out, a worried look on his face.

He relaxed when he saw me and sighed. "I was going to kill you if you showed up here beat up."

I cringed, but covered it. "You know I never get beat."

He rolled his eyes. "You know what I meant. Come on," he said, reaching his hand out.

"Thanks," I said, taking it and climbing through the window. I stepped forward and fell onto his bed, rolling onto my back with a grin.

"Um, what's with you?" Aiden asked, clearly confused.

"I told her I liked her." I said, simply.

"Wait, what? You 'like' some one?" Aiden asked, surprised. I really can't blame him though. I've never actually had a real crush on a girl. In the past, its always been fun to go out with girls but, that's all it ever was, just some fun, nothing serious. But now, Lacey was messing with that idea.

"Yup. Lacey," I answered, sitting up.

"Lacey? Really?"

"Yes, really. What the fuck do you mean?" I asked.

"Well," he started, scratching the back of his neck.

"Spit it out."

"Fine. She just doesn't seem like your type, all innocent and shit." He answered.

My stomach dropped slightly. He was right, I hadn't even thought of that. Lacey was way too innocent. She wouldn't understand my world and, if I wanted something serious, I couldn't keep things from her.

"So, what? Are you guys dating now or something?" Aiden asked, cutting through my thoughts.

"What? No. Are you dumb? She is obviously the kind of girl who wants a guy to take things slow," I answered. "I mean, she hasn't even told me she feels the same.

Aiden laughed, "Maybe that's because she doesn't."

"Oh, no. She definitely does," I said, remembering the feeling of her jumping into my arms. I fell back onto the bed, my heart pounding.

"Okay, Loverboy, time to get out of my cabin. Zoya will kill me if she knows you were in here."

Zoya was Aiden's co-counselor. She was a strong girl, raised in a strict African home. Aiden was constantly complaining about her.

"Okay fine," I said, climbing out the window.

"Wait," Aiden said before I walked away. "Just be careful with her. I don't think she could handle all of you."

"I know, Aiden," I answered with a stiff nod before I jogged back to my cabin. I was obviously dying to be back with Lacey but, the last thing Aiden said was bothering me.

I want to be with Lacey but, did I want to get her involved?
