I woke up to Mrs. Hudson yelling for me to get down here for breakfast.
"SHERLOCK!" Was all I herd. I swam down to her and sat down.
"Why do I have to wake up so early?" I groaned as I took the freshly caught shrimp.
"Don't you remember, it's your first day of school!"
I suddenly became very alert of everything that was happening around me, "School!? That's today!?"
"Yes of course it is Sherlock! I thought you would have remembered, seeing as you have been waiting for this day ever since you found out you were going to actual school, with other fish. It's the perfect time too, as you put it 'to deduce other fish and observe their natural habitat.'"
But I was only half listening, I would actually get to meet other fish, maybe even another seahorse. "Mrs. Hudson, when does school start exactly?"
"Umm, I don't quite know. Let me check" Said Mrs. Hudson.
I watched as she looked through her notes.
She seemed to have found it and turned to me and said, "Oh, Sherlock. It starts in 5 minutes"
Shit "I'll see you later, Mrs. Hudson." I said as I swam as fast as I could to The School of Fish. I memorized the path I would have to take to get there beforehand.
As I furiously swam up to to steps of the school I ran into something, no, someone. Another seahorse.
All I saw was red, he was such a vibrant glowing red. The red that everybody tries to capture in a painting but nobody can get it quite right, this red was swimming right in front of me. Unlike my dull green, he looked, well there really is no other word to describe him but fabulous.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." I apologized quickly.
"Its okay" said the other seahorse.
"I suppose I will be seeing you at school" I said.
"Yeah, I guess so... See ya" He said as he swam off.
"See ya" I said, it didn't sound right on my mouth. I have never herd somebody say something like that, it has always been "goodbye, or farewell" this was odd. It appears that I have more to learn about other fish than I thought.
