Barely unable to formulate any coherent sentences, he placed her shawl on the nearest bench and headed for his horse. But that was not without giving one of the guarding men a mean look. "Alright, alright. Get back to what you were doing before. The lord's business isn't for your entertainment." His stallion trotted at a gentle pace besides the carriage and even when the slight on pour of rain began, he felt no need of complaining.

"Emilia." He called after her as she picked up her skirts for the front door. "Emilia I am talking to you." He grabbed her hand, stopping her movements and he couldn't tell what was more shocking, the burning hot yet silent anger in her eyes or the stinging slap he received on his cheek. He watched her go in puzzlement and barely said a word not even after Callam showed his presence. "My lord."

Devyn handed his coat and marched up after her. He caught the door to her chamber just before she slammed it shut. "Emilia." He whispered so slowly, as softly as he could allow. "Look at me please." With gentleness in his steps, he approached her afraid that she might run from him or worse assault his cheek yet a second time.

"Emilia." He tilted her head up to his till he was met with her red eyes and a runny nose. Without thought his lips sought hers and flames of passion exploded in him. It took nothing less than a second before she opened her mouth in response to the slow torturous and yet gentleness of his seducing lips. He was not demanding nor was he rough but gentle, as gentle as a French kiss could go. When he released her lips, he stepped a small distance back and simply stared at her. "Emilia." She nodded her head and he bowed. "Good night my lady." He turned for her door and on closing heard the slow whisper of her reply. "Good night my lord." He took a few breathes and questioned what he had just done.

Emilia took a gentle stroll at the first ray of sunlight. She had surprisingly slept all throughout the night and it might not have been all thanks to the gentle calmness of Devyn's kiss. A small fragment of passion she had shared with him and her body was awoken to a new demand. She knew he wanted more and yet he had restrained himself to only the touching of their lips.

Their lips.

She smiled as she touched hers and felt a shiver run down her spine. She turned a corner and walked over the neatly cut grass. The weather had gotten colder which she could tell by the amount of redness she had on her hands. The snow was rumored to fall soon and the leaves on the trees had long gone.

But that didn't stop her from enjoying the home she had lived in for five years so far.

The rough hooves of horses caught her attention and she approached enclosed area they trained from. She needed a distraction because she couldn't trust herself not to blush like some heated goat at the thought of the kiss they had shared. "My lady, good morning." A bright smile adorned his lips and she in turn felt over joyed. "Hams. Good day. Hows the stroll coming a long?" The man left his business despite the angry looks from his fellow hands and approached the fence but not without bowing first. "We did an early stroll this morning my lady and it did the horses well. Would you like to go for a short ride? The weather seems fair this morning." He asked with all sincerity in his voice.

"Why, that would be lovely, but you have things to do dont you? Besides I am not even in my riding garments." He shook his head. "There are other hands that run the caring of the horses my lady. A few minutes with you wouldn't hurt the work." "Oh then, very well." Hams whistled. He turned back for the horses and as gently as he could master brought forth a mighty beast. "His name's Will. The gentlest horse amongst the many lot." The stallion snickered as he run his hands along its mane and neck.

"He is beautiful."

"Indeed, he is. But be not fooled by his gentleness, he brings a mean temper when left in the wild for too long." She had not noticed the straps and equipment for the horses until he had opened a side gate and led the fine best to an open space far from the rest. "May I help you up?" As much as she wanted, she couldn't ride astride to her comfort, so she sat herself down in the most uncomfortable way and bore with the pain of her corset and day dress biting onto her skin. She would definitely get bruises. The beast moved and she felt herself panic that she was about to fall. "It is okay my lady." Hams hand gently brushed against her thigh. And her body went rigid at once like as if something forbidden had just been whispered into her ears.
