Getting ready to leave

Today is Thursday and we leave tomorrow to go to Phili and I still have not told Jason.
I don't want to end up inviting him and making Becca feel left out since she left her boyfriend back home. And I know what your thinking the way I'm talking about her boyfriend it's like I'm talking about a dog. But I don't really know what other way to say it.

Ok I've made my decision, I'm going to leave Jason here, I'm going to tell him he can't come along with us and that I will come back for him. (Cause I love him).
I really hope he does not take this the wrong way but I have planned this for so long I can't just give up on it.
Ok we need to start getting ready and to pack and I'm about to go tell Jason.
"Jason I need to tell you something"I say.
"Eh ok go ahead" he replys.
"I don't know how to tell you this so I'm just going to come out with it, me and Becca are leaving to travel America tomorrow, we have already booked our flight to Phili , and you can't come , I may be gone a while but I will come back, I won't just leave you forever". After I finished my sentence I looked straight at Jason, his expression looked Heart broken.
" So are you saying we are over for a while"Jason replied.
" No it's just like I'm going on a long holiday with my friend, Jason please understand"I say.
"Ok I'm not going to make a big fuss, but I want you to know that I'll miss you so much" Jason says. After he said this he reached down and kissed me then wrapped his arms around me tight like he was never going to let go.
Right then, I felt like I was in a moment I never wanted to leave.
I knew when I made the decision to travel with Becca that I would miss Jason so so much. But I think it would help, I think a break would bring us closer together afterwards.
I also told him that I would be gone for quite a while eg. 5 months at the most.
Which means I would be back in November and We would be able to spend Christmas together then head over to Scotland to spend time with my parents.
Which will also be the first time my parents meet Jason and the first time Jason meets my parents.
Ok I'm all packed and so is Becca, we are spending the night at Jason's and then Jason is taking us to the airport in the morning at 9. I did tell Jason maybe it would be easier if we just took a cab but he insists that he sees me off.
