Chapter 24. The Past

Sonic continued to work in his department and look for new challenges in his career. One day he heard about a new project that was starting his work at the company. This project required the experience that Sonic had, and he decided to join the team.

On the first day of working on the project, Sonic noticed that there was one person working in the team whom he had not seen for many years - it was Lumi. Sonic was shocked and glad at the same time, because they hadn't seen each other for a long time, and he was curious about what had happened to Lumi all these years.

When they got a lunch break, Sonic and Lumi started talking about their work and life. During the conversation, Sonic found out that Lumi decided to leave office work after their joint project and start doing charity work, which was her long-standing dream.

Sonic was amazed by this decision, based on the fact that Lumi has always been a follower of career and success. However, Sonic was proud of Lumi that she had found a new vocation and was happy.

During the conversation, Sonic and Lumi recalled the funny moments that were associated with their joint work. They told each other about how nervous they were before the presentations of their projects, and how they rejoiced at their successes. Sonic learned about some moments from Lumi's past that were previously unknown to him.

Sonic understood how important it was to keep in touch with those who had once been his colleague, and appreciated the moment that he was able to meet Lumi again. Together they continued to work on the project and found time to chat after work. Each of them found their own way in life, but they remained friends and are ready to help each other at any time.
