Justice smiled to himself as he looked outside the window of his office with a view of downtown White Plains. Feeling a tremendous sense of satisfaction in knowing that he was able to reach an amicable and fair resolution to the Roscoe Brown V Overlook Terrace case. Along with his legal adversary Matthew Sullivan, the Overlook Terrace's Board Of Directors, and his personal assistant Vanessa Lazatin, Justice worked tirelessly around the clock. The handsome charismatic Defense Attorney took great pride in knowing that both sides came together to ensure that justice was served. Moments like this is what Justice enjoyed about his chosen profession the most. He sighed as he surmised that such moments were rare, being too far and few between.

Justice was all too aware of the fact that while his firm was happy that the case was settled out of court, they were less than pleased with his unorthodox methods. David Eisenberg for one felt that Justice spent entirely too much time on what he believed what was an open and shut case. The senior partner of Eisenberg and Associates was particularly dismayed with the notion that Justice appeared to have been working in conjunction with the opposing prosecutor. Believing that the eventual outcome of the case was not in their client's best interest. Eisenberg and Associates was hired by Overlook Terrace to refute the claims of ageism against Roscoe Brown, Justice's primary job was to clear the building synonymous with downtown New Rochelle of any wrong doing. Brokering a deal with Mr. Sullivan in which Mr. Brown's severance package was increased was a public relations stroke of genius for Overlook Terrace, it was also an admission of guilt in the eyes of David Eisenberg.

"Are you ready for the meeting?" asked Vanessa startling Justice, and interpreting his thoughts. He slowly turned around to face her, "Go ahead without me, I'll be there in a few minutes." Sensing the tension between them since the trip to Las Vegas, Vanessa wanted to clear the air. She walked towards Justice and confronted him. "What's going on with you lately Justice?"

Knowing exactly what Vanessa was referring to but not wanting to discuss it with her, Justice feigned ignorance and indifference. He nervously rustled some papers on his desk and avoided eye contact with his pretty Filipino personal assistant. "I have no idea what you are talking about Vanessa, and I don't have the time to ascertain what you are alluding to. I need to present my notes on the Henderson case at the meeting and I can't seem to find them." Justice continued to shuffle through his papers as he refrained from looking at her. Vanessa reached out and grabbed his arm, prompting Justice to look up. She handed the handsome attorney a folder, "You asked me to summarize and type up your notes from the Henderson case... Remember?"

Justice smiled and nodded his head in embarassment as he looked over the folder, "Ah that's right, I do remember." He looked at her and laughed as he placed the folder on the desk, "I've had so much on my mind lately, I completely forgot that I asked you to do that for me." Vanessa put her hand on Justice's shoulder, putting him at ease and alarming him at the same time. For a brief moment he forgot that he was angry at her. "If you are worried about being named Junior Partner Justice, you shouldn't. No one deserves it more than you."

Justice Grant's career was on a meteoric rise. Heavily recruited by several prestigious law firms in the country, he chose to stay in New York. Joining Eisenberg and Associates fresh out of NYU Law School. Immediately making inroads in the White Plains Law Firm with his knowledge, passion for law, boundless energy and insatiable work ethic. After working for Eisenberg and Associates for only two years, there was talk that Justice was in line to become the small, but reputable firm's youngest Junior Partner at the tender age of twenty five.

Justice looked into Vanessa's beautiful brown eyes. Her eyes penetrated his soul. Vanessa's words of encouragement and support resonated with Justice. He considered letting her know how he truly felt. That seeing her with Naquann in Las Vegas upset him to no end. What really bothered Justice was his inability to fully comprehend his feelings for Vanessa. He was unable to grasp the idea that what he felt for her was more than that of a colleague. Instead of attempting to convey his convoluted feelings to his pretty personal assistant, Justice chose to keep the conversation professional. He looked down at the folder on his desk as a way to avoid eye contact for fear that she would know his true feelings.
