Kayla looked up at her alarm clock, and to he surprise she was already 3 minutes late for camp. Kayla went to the kitchen, got a slice of bread, put it in the toaster, then went back to her bedroom to get dressed. When Kayla got ready , she went back to the kitchen and butterd her toast and walked out the door. Kayla rode her bike to the stables because it was only half a mile away from her house. She was nervous, after all it was her first day of camp. When she got to camp she met the camp teacher, Mr. Fern. He was really nice.
"Everybody line up so that I can show you the horse you will be riding during camp," said Mr. Fern. Kayla was the ninth one in line. When he finally got to Kayla, she followed him to the third stable on the left. In the stable was a bright golden horse with a creamy white mane and tail. The horse had to be at least 5 feet and tall, Kayla thought."What's its name ?" Kayla asked. "Sarah," replied Mr. Fern. After everybody got matched with their horse, it was time to saddle up. I didn't know how to do that so Mr. Fern helped me. Now we all were saddled and it was time to ride. I rode Sarah only at a walk for the first day. I was to nervous to go any faster. Now that the day was over I unsaddled Sarah, she was sweaty so I brushed her off, then I put her in the field to let her graze over night. Then I went home and told mom all about it!
