Army x Male! octoling! reader (fluff)

Y/n pov:
I had finally escaped octo valley after being stuck down there forever, I walked around, I realized I had gotten a octo phone of some sorts.

it told me my level and how 'fresh' i needed to be to purchase my own gear, I sighed heavily knowing I'd get weird looks, I pulled out my octo-shot and walked into deca tower, luckily getting into a match, I got paired up with a team of inklings, but the enemy's were what enticed me.

All of them wearing special force berets, but I was starstruck by their leader army, I had found out his name from the plaza, I had readied my weapon, Before inking everything, I got weird stares from my team, being labeled an 'inkling with an odd hairstyle.'

It felt weird playing turf war with people who were different then me, Especially because I was wearing my octoling goggles with the kelp on my head to enhance my performance, so I looked really weird to my team, but I didn't care, I had noticed an enemy approaching our base, I quickly splatter said enemy not wanting to take any risks, I rush to the center of the stage. (The stage is urchin underpass if your curious)

I had ran right into the teams leader army, I blushed slightly, I had hesitantly let myself get splatted because I was too starstruck by his looks, I respawn, the battle ended after a few minutes, My team lost.

I was kind of pissed off about it but I only let it slide because of army's team being the one I fought, I looked around the plaza, My smile faded after realizing I was the only octoling there, I wasn't quite surprised but at the same time I was, I seemed to be the only one affected by squid music, It was upsetting, but I ignored it.

I had seen army and his team walking out into the plaza, I walk over and congratulate them on their win, The leader of the team looked at me and said "Thank you" Before walking away, I sighed knowing I want to get to know him better, I put my goggles back in my backpack before walking away.

I had played turf wars for a good while, I was level 10 now, I got excited and admiring all the gold I had been saving up, I happily walked into Sheldon's shop before listening to him banter about weapons, I ended up purchasing the f/w, I walk into the other shops and purchased a few pieces of gear from them, I ended up leaving with a black tee, fake eye contacts, and punk blacks, I did my hair in a small ponytail, trying to match the male inklings hairstyles.

I had eventually gotten used to my new home, no longer getting weird stares from the inklings, and army was less nervous to talk to me now that I didn't look fresh out of a pig stye.

After talking to army for a little while and befriending the inkling, He had asked me "Y/n am I right?" I nod before asking "Is there something you need?" Armys face is a bright orange now, He confessed "I-i like you y/n, I couldn't put the words together, You had talked to me so nicely I developed feelings overtime, I really love you y/n, will you be my boyfriend..?"

My face turns a bright f/c , I don't say anything leaving army slightly puzzled, I kiss him on the lips softly, Army blushes softly taking that as a yes, Me and him hold hands and walk off into the sunset.

Me and him head over to squidbucks, we both get some drinks, I look at army lovingly, I ask "Army? You wanna stay the night at my place?" Army replies "of course my love!" We walk over to my apartment, I unlock the door and let him in, He lazily lays down on the couch after taking his jacket off, I snuggle up to him And kiss him on the cheek, We fall asleep cuddling.
