"What the hell is wrong with you?" You hiss, pushing Aiku against the wall of the back of the restaurant. He doesn't seem fazed in the slightest- but then again, this is the same guy that was just slapped a few moments ago.
"What do you mean?" He asks innocently. "I didn't do anything wrong."
"Don't play dumb!" You point a finger angrily in his face- or at least, you attempt to, pushing up on your tiptoes to try and reach his face. It doesn't work, what with his stupidly long body, and he smirks.
"I don't know what's got your panties in a twist, but-"
"You know exactly what you did," You retort scornfully. "You ruined my date! You showed up with your stupid side chick and you ruined it, because you're the worst friend ever!"
He has the gall to look surprised, his mismatched eyes widening. You can already feel your anger ebbing away (you've never been one to hold grudges for long) but you don't want to let him get off scot free.
"Okay, yes, it was a dick move, I admit it." He says, and he doesn't even have the decency to look apologetic, acting like this is just his average day- and you figure it probably is, what with his disloyal tendencies, but this is different.
Because you aren't just some girl he picked up off the streets, you're his friend and he should know better.
"What, is that all you have to say for yourself?" You glare at him with your arms crossed over your chest.
"I didn't think you'd get so angry," He says, eyebrows furrowed as he looks at you. "What, Sendo means that much to you now? You didn't even seem remotely interested in him like, yesterday."
"That's not the issue here, dumbass!" You snap. "I'm upset because you're inserting yourself in my life where you aren't needed. Stay out of my love life, Aiku."
"Love life?" He echoes incredulously. "What, you agreeing to date Sendo on a whim was out of love?"
"Shut up!" You stamp your foot in ever-growing frustration. "You know what I mean! And why're you so hung up on Sendo, really? What's your problem with him? Because if you're jealous, Aiku, it really does not look good on you."
"I just think you aren't being honest to yourself."
That takes you by surprise, and you gape at him, speechless.
"Wh-what?" You splutter, mind still putting together the pieces. "What, you know me oh-so-well for you to be saying stuff like that? You make absolutely zero sense, Aiku."
"You know just as well as I do that you don't like him like that." His voice is deadpan, and you hate it, you hate that you know, deep down, that he's right. You don't like Sendo like that, not yet- but you were willing to give him a chance, before Aiku came along and ruined things!
"You don't know anything." You tell him anyways- because you'd rather eat dirt off the bottom of his shoe than admit he's right. "I'd say you're honestly just jealous, you know?"
That does the trick; Aiku's mouth shuts closed in an instant, and whatever it is he's about to say dies on his tongue.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." You add, and Aiku shifts.
"There's barely even anything to be jealous about," Aiku finally responds, his voice as casual and amused as ever, but you don't miss the way his jaw is clenched ever so slightly. "I don't even want you like that."
That stings, slightly, but you ignore it. It's not as if you want him either.
"That still doesn't explain why you had to go and say it like that," You say, but your voice lacks bite. "You're so unbelievable sometimes, Aiku."
