The Darkness Comes Part 1....

One month has passed since Garmadon was in control of Ninjago City and the return of Master Wu, everything was slowly coming back  to normal in the city. As a group of construction workers who were busy fixing parts of the road that was destroyed during the rule of Garmadon. 

Worker: That's it. Now take it away. Okay. Easy does it. Easy does it.

A worker told another who was controlling a crane as it picked up a piece of debris from the battle a month ago. 

Police Officer: Let's move this as fast as possible so we can get the traffic going.

He said while gesturing toward the accident as a row of cars were honking their horns in confusion. And inside the traffic jam, was Cole, Zane and Pixal, who were sitting in Cole's Earth Driller as the said ninja beeped the horn in frustration. 

Cole: Oh, come on. You gotta be kidding.

Zane: We were supposed to be there 30 minutes ago.

Pixal: This thing has an enormous drill on it. Can we not just go under them?

Cole: *excited* Oh, can we? Please?

He asked as he flipped a switch that caused the large drill in the front on as it spun as the sight of the moving drill made other drivers gasp in fear. 

Zane: I do not think the city would appreciate that. They just finished rebuilding this freeway.

He stated as Cole sighed sadly as he turned off the drill as they were still stuck in traffic. 

Cole: Aah. We're so late. And I can see the harbor right there.

Pixal: That's it. I'm getting out.

She said tired of waiting as she pressed a button on the side and the top glass slid open. Pixal then jumps out, leaping and flipping over the cars. Zane follows her. Cole parked his vehicle in the line as he jumped out but his right foot fell asleep from waiting as he slid into the back of a truck. 

Cole: Hey, guys, wait up! My foot's asleep.

He called out to the two nindroids who were making their way across the roofs of vehicles and couldn't hear him. He groaned as he climbed out of the back of the truck and opened a car door while his foot was slowly waking up. As Zane and Pixal continue jumping and flipping off cars towards the harbor as a father tries to get his son to see the ninja as the boy is more focused on his phone. 

Father: Oh, look, son. It's the ninja!

Son: Yeah, right, Dad.

Cole staggers through the line of cars and leaps, landing on the father's car as he groans in pain. He opens the father's car door as the two stare at him confused. 

Cole: Coming through. Sorry. Ninja business. 

He said as he opened the door on the other side and left the father and son there in shock as Cole closed the door. 

Father: Uh, Dad, did-did you see that ninja?

Son: He just ducked through our car.

As Cole ran past the stuck cars, his foot that was asleep was back to normal as he ran faster after the two nindroids. 

Cole: Yes, finally! 

He cheered that he can run as a Police Officer stood at a road closed sign shouted at Cole as they jumped over it. 

Police Officer: Hey, you can't go over there! The road is closed!

Cole: Sorry. It's an emergency.

Police Officer: Oh. Uh, I didn't know. Never mind. Good luck, guys!
