A group of students were walking through a lab looking around as the scientist explained what was going on I'm each room. "So right down this corridor we have the hybrids and other creatures. Now we are going to be taking you through this area and allowing you to explore and go into some of the enclosures." The female explained as she led them down the corridor. The students huddled close together and conversed amongst each other while one student paid extra attention to the woman up front.
The student's name was Purity Mei Ling. She was mainly on this trip because it was the same facility that her best friend had been taken to after it was revealed that he was a hybrid. That's the main and only reason she was here. They walked past a couple of doors before they stopped In front of one that was guarded and had a window to the left of the door.
"Students, these are the most feral wolf hybrids in the entire facility!" The female said as she turned around to face the group of students. "One of you will get the chance to go inside and sit in the room. Of course if they do decide to attack you all you have to do is press the button that will be given to you and it will send a shock through all of them!" The woman continued to explain, seemingly enjoying how the students lighted up at the thought of getting to go inside a room of wolves.
"Now due to the amount of you here I will be the one to choose who gets to go into the room. Is that clear?" She told the group watching as some deflated at the thought of not getting to be able to enter the room while others were placing bets on who would get chosen. The scientist looked at her paper full of names and called out the one she has yet to hear from. "Congratulations Purity you've been chosen!" She exclaimed, making all the students stop what they were doing shocked.
The girl shakily stepped forward and to the door before it opened. When it opened she looked back at the woman then her teacher and classmates before walking in after grabbing the button the door slamming shut as soon as she was completely inside. She looked at the window before realizing that it was one way so she could only see herself and not what was happening outside while the ones outside could see everything that happened in the room.
She shudders slightly before moving to sit on her knees. She sat like that in the ground for a bit before she saw a pair of glowing red eyes appear before it disappeared. She looked around the room and saw seven more pairs of glowing eyes appear and disappear. She flinched harshly when all of the sudden something jumped out of the shadows and towards her. She placed her hands behind her to support her weight when she almost tumbled over.
The wolf instead of attacking her turned around and looked at a different shadow and growled softly at the shadow before walking to the right of the girl and sitting a good distance away still slightly wary of the girl. The shadow stepped forward revealing itself as her best friend in wolf form. She quickly fixed the way she was sitting and took the button and slid it across the floor away from her. She opened her arms and giggled as the wolf tackled her to the floor, licking her face.
"I've missed you too buddy!" She says as she sits up and hugs her friend's wolf form. She feels a tug on her backpack and turns around to be met with another wolf who seemed shocked at being caught. She sat there for a second before slowly taking off and opening her backpack. When she finished opening her bag the wolf immediately digs it's head inside then pulls out her folder and uses his nose to open it.
It opens it then looks between her and the picture in the folder. It's a picture of her and Jeongin at the ice cream parlor. She has chocolate ice cream on her nose and top lip and looks shocked while Jeongin is holding chocolate ice cream and is laughing. She looked between the wolf and the window that everyone was probably watching the interaction through.
As if sensing her unease a wolf came out and pressed a button that blocked the window off and then sat In front of the door. The wolf moved the first picture to reveal one of her sitting on a swing bench while reading a book. Next to that one was one that her brother took of her and Jeongin sleeping on the couch cuddling each other. Jeongin moved around her and sat next to the other wolf and used his paw to pull out a drawing.
He looked shocked before looking back at the girl in front of him then back down at the drawing. It was a drawing of Jeongin in his wolf form while sitting on a rock in the forest. The girl did nothing but watch as her friend looked through her folder with the other wolves. Instead she pulled out her phone and opened messages with her mother and pulled up a picture of the two when they were younger. She smiles and places the phone in the view of the wolves.
In the picture she and Jeongin were wearing their school uniforms, her being in first grade while Jeongin was in fourth grade. She swiped to the left and it showed a picture of her and Jeongin holding hands back turned to the camera as they stood on a bridge that looked over a lake. The photo after that was then turning around and looking at the camera confused. The one after that is the two sleeping on a big blow up bed surrounded by other friends.
While the three were browsing through the pictures they didn't notice the other four join them or the class busting through the door. The two friends did however recognize the scent of the girl's mother and father's. They stayed where they were knowing that they wouldn't be separated for a while or until one of them fell asleep. One of the wolves swiped to a different picture and by then everyone had crowded around.
The picture was one that shocked all the students, the teacher and the scientist. In the picture it shows purity sleeping on a wolf Jeongin who was looking at the camera with a look of pride on his face. This time Jeongin swiped and revealed when they went trick or treating as their half forms. Purity being a cat hybrid and Jeongin being a wolf. Kimura cringed at the picture remembering how uncomfortable she was with all the grown men and women making nasty comments about her body.
She swiped past all the Halloween pictures and landed on her 15th birthday. It was a video this time. Her mom bent down and played it.
"Happy birthday baby!" Her mother yelled as she recorded herself walking into the girls room. The girl sat at her desk drawing a cat in her notebook. "Hi momma." She said while pulling out her headphones after pausing her music. "Let's go downstairs now Jeongin just got here." Her mother said zooming in as the girl smiles and quickly puts her stuff away before running out the room and down the stairs. Her mom made it down just in time for her to catch the girl jumping on the older boy and giving him a tight hug. "Oppa I missed you." The girl said as she was put in the ground.
"I've missed you, little flower." Jeongin says as he ruffles the younger girls hair."I've got you a present." He says as he pulls out a box from the bag he had placed on the couch. "Really? But you didn't need to." The girl said while trying to deny the gift but she eventually accepted it. "Can I open it now?" She asked her step-dad who nodded. She opened the present only to gasp and then squeal as she pulled out a pink and white outfit.
Both of her father's looked at the outfit with distaste. "Are you sure that that's age appropriate Jeongin?" Her dad asked. "Honestly I didn't think about it but I bought it because I knew she'd like it." Jeongin said with a shrug. The video then cuts to her wearing the outfit Jeongin got her. Her hair was curled and had been put in a half up half down style with white ribbons that matched the color of her hair. She smiles while everyone sings happy birthday then blows out the candles after making her wish.
Jeongin disappeared then reappeared with a knife and went to stand behind Purity and help her cut and serve the cake. The video cuts to the end of the party where the 18 year old takes the sleeping birthday girl to her room and comes back down. "Thank you for bringing her to bed, Jeongin." Her mother says as she hugs the 18 year old who said it was no problem before saying bye and leaving.
Everyone watches as it fades to a black screen and everything is quiet until the sound of shuffling interrupts them. They turned around to see one of the wolves walk over to the girl who had fallen asleep against Jeongin before curling up next to her. All the wolves repeated this action, one of the wolves walking up to the scientist and dropping a broken button in front of her before joining the rest of his pack by the human girl.
Everyone else can only watch in either shock or complete ease as the wolves fall asleep around the youngest two. Their pack finally being COMPLETE.
