Jasper's P.O.V.

Once I got out of the school I booked it into the woods and went to the clearing I found years ago. I go there often to clear my head or to be away from people, so I only have to feel my own emotions. Once I got to the clearing, I stood there for a moment just processing what happened. 'I scared her I can't believe I scared her. I promised myself I wouldn't do anything to hurt her physically, emotionally, and mentally. And I went and scared her.' I stayed in that clearing for the rest of the school day not wanting to go back to school and see Kiara and have her look at me with a scared expression.

*meanwhile*

Kiara's P.O.V.

"Well, now that everyone's calmed down somewhat how about we introduce ourselves." Alice said

I looked at her and shrugged. "Sure."

"Well, you already know Alice and Trent. And Rose just introduced herself. And it already looks like you know Bella and you somehow know Edwards name. So that just leaves me. What's up I'm Emmett." The unknown guy introduced himself with a big goofy smile.

"Nice to meet you Emmett and you as well Rosalie. Edward not so much. My name is Kiara." I said glaring at the latter. Making Rosalie and Emmett snicker and Edward glare at us.

"I'm going to like having you around." Rosalie said with smirk.

"I like having me around too." I said making her smile and Emmett bust out laughing.

"She's funny and sassy. You'll fit right in." Emmett said

"Seriously, are we not going to question how she knew my name when I never introduced myself."

"No" everyone said excluding Edward and Bella who just scoffed.

"Well, I am. How the hell did you know Edwards name?" Bella asked rudely.

"That's on a need-to-know basis. And you, don't need, to know." I said. Then I heard Edward growling at me again. And this time I growled back with my eyes glowing again and this time Nyx was the one in control.

"Growl at me again vampire. I dare you." I growled my voice a bit deeper than usual. That seemed to make him stop growling but he looked slightly confused and scared.

"What are you?" Edward asked.

"Why would I tell you?" I said taking back control.

"Because you know what they are so it's only proper." Bella said snootily.

"I'm gonna tell you what I told Jasper; Where's the fun in that?" I said with a smirk. After I said that I looked down at my phone and saw that I only had about 30 more minutes before lunch ends. So I decided to go grab something that will tie me over until after school. So with that I got up.

"Where are you going?" I heard Bella ask.

"To get something to eat. I didn't eat much for breakfast and I'm starving." I said and started heading over to grab a salad and an apple. I was going to get something else but I noticed what the main food was for lunch (pizza) and decided not to get it. Normally I like pizza but school pizza is a no go for me. After I grabbed my food I went back to the Cullens table. While I ate the others talked amongst themselves. I got my phone out and started texting Sam.

(S: Sam and K: Kiara)

K: Hey, can I ask you something? I think it's something that pertains to shifters.

S: Sure, what is it.

K: Well, something happened to me today when I looked at someone. All of a sudden it felt like gravity wasn't holding me down it was them. Why did that feeling happen? I figured it has something to do with a mate bond seeing as I said mate once the feeling subsided.
