Paige and Kevin

The hoard of people backed her into an alley and a man reached out to grab her. Just then there was a whistle and the man crumpled to the ground with an arrow in his head. Then a thud as a figure jumped from a fire escape and landed next to Ava. The figure was a girl (who looked about Avas' age) with shoulder-length light blue hair and a battle ax in her hand. She started cutting down the people left and right as arrows sprouted out of the people's heads until they were all in crumpled heaps on the ground. The girl turned around to face Ava (still on the ground) "What are they?" Ava yelled.

"Zombies," the blue-haired girl said.

"Like in the movies?" Ava asked. "Similar, but these are stronger and way smarter," the blue-haired girl said. Just then a tall boy with short brown hair jumped down from one of the fire escapes. And landed next to the blue-haired girl. "Who are you?" Ava asked.

"I'm Paige, and this is Kevin," the blue-haired girl said while extending her hand to help Ava up.

"I'm Ava," Ava said.

"It's not safe out in the open, follow us," Paige said. They traveled by rooftop until they got to a small house in the backyard where a shed with a padlock on the door Kevin walked forward and put in the code. I turned around and said welcome to the bunker. In the middle of the floor was a big metal trap door. When Kevin opened the door there was nothing but darkness and a ladder. When they reached the bottom Paige flipped a big switch and 30 eclectic lights flickered on overhead. Then a big black blur came and tackled Kevin. Ava screamed before realizing it was a dog, a huge dog. "This is Argos," Kevin said "he's supposed to be a fierce guard dog, but he is more of a big goof" Paige put in. Argo was a large black dog with short fur and a spiked collar around his neck. The big dog lumbered over to Ava to see who the newcomer was. After he evaluated her, he jumped up on her trying to lick her face.
