"Go to Hell," I screamed at him. I was so done with his lies and betrayal. I just wanted him to disappear from my life forever.
"And leave you here all alone?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
I looked at him, and for the first time, I saw the pain in his eyes. Maybe he wasn't lying this time. Maybe he was just lost and needed help finding his way back.
I sighed and sat down on the couch. "No, you can stay. But you need to start being honest with me. I can't keep living like this."
He sat down beside me and took my hand. "I promise to be honest from now on. I don't want to lose you."
I nodded, but deep down, I knew it would take more than promises to fix our relationship.
