I get dragged to the office and told to sit down outside. Me and the three other boys sit on opposite sides of each other. They call us into the office one by one. I don't care to learn their names. Finally it's my turn to go in.
I walk in there with my head held high. I'm not ashamed of what I've done. They hurt an innocent person first.
When I get in there, the principal tells me to sit down. I do. He then asks what happened, I honestly explain what happened. He tells me to 'Be the bigger person and go get an adult' like that's gonna happen. They don't help.
The principal tells me that he has to call my parents and that I'm suspended for a week. Whatever, more time for me to do whatever I want. I have to go to In School Suspension for the remainder of the day. I don't know why I have to go to I.S.S, when the other boys started it. After calling my parents and telling them what I've done, I'm dismissed.
I walk out of the office, almost immediately someone grabs my hand. I go to hit them but when I turn around I see Opal. I immediately lower my hand and look at her. "Opal.." She does the 'Shh' motion to me, I stop talking and wait. She looks at me and whispers, a very quiet 'Thank you'.
What she does next takes me back for a minute.
Opal, Let go of my hand then grabbed my face and gave me a quick little peck. I froze. Before I knew it she was gone. I touched where she had kissed me. Opal, the girl that I loved from first sight, just kissed me. I stood there smiling like I just won the lottery, It felt like I had.
