Chapter 6 - Was it a Dream?

As Kei made his way towards Pallet Town, the sun began to set, casting an orange and pink hue across the sky. The road ahead was long and winding, and he was getting tired. Plus, he didn't completely know the proper route to Pallet Town because he rarely went there.

He tried to climb down the ledges quickly but carefully.

After getting down the ledges finally on the flatland, as Kei was rushing towards Pallet Town, he suddenly collided with a man. The impact knocked them both to the ground. As Kei got up, he realized that it was the mysterious man he and Akira had met in Viridian City. The man seemed to be in a hurry, as if he was running from something.

As Kei confronts the mysterious man, he demands answers about what happened in Akira's hometown. The man hesitates for a moment before revealing that their team was on a special mission, one that was meant to be kept secret. He explains that he can't reveal the details, but assures Kei that their team didn't harm anyone in the town.

The tension in the air is palpable as the two stand face to face. Kei is torn between trusting his friend and his suspicions about the team liberation. He decides to press the man for more information, hoping that he can get to the bottom of the mystery.

Before the man leaves, Kei asks for his name. The man responds by saying that his code name is "003", and tells Kei that every member of their organization is given a code name for security reasons and then disappears in the darkness once again.

PALLET TOWN

Kei finally arrives in Pallet Town by midnight after traveling for hours. He walks down the empty streets, taking in the quietness of the town. The only sound is the rustling of leaves in the wind. He notices that the houses are dark and quiet, indicating that everyone is already asleep

Meanwhile he remembers Akira had given the map of his house in Pallet town first when they met.

As he walks towards Akira's house, he thinks about the code name system of Team Liberation that the man mentioned earlier. He wonders what kind of organization it is and why they are carrying out secret missions.

Finally, he reaches Akira's house. There is an eerie silence and a strange feeling in the air. Kei starts to feel uneasy as he approaches the door. When he reaches the doorstep, he notices that the door is slightly ajar.

He hesitates for a moment before pushing the door open and stepping inside. The house is in complete disarray. Furniture is overturned, the windows are broken, and there is debris scattered across the floor. Kei gasps in shock at the sight before him.

Kei walked upstairs, his steps echoing through the quiet hallway. He peeked into Akira's room, but it was empty. He frowned and continued down the hall until he reached the living room. There, he found Akira's mother and younger sister, Nina.

Nina is combing a cute Eevee while Akira's mother is folding laundry. Kei introduces himself and asks where Akira is. They tell him that Akira went with the Pokémon Police Squad along with the injured Professor Henry for further investigations. Kei expresses his concern and asks if there's anything he can do to help. Akira's mother thanks him for his offer and assures him that they'll be alright, but Kei can tell that she's worried. As he's about to leave, Kei notices Nina looking at him curiously. He can't help but feel a little flutter in his chest.

As Kei walks towards the police station, he can't help but think about Nina, Akira's younger sister. Her image keeps flashing in his mind, and he realizes he has a small crush on her. He tries to push the thought aside and focus on the mission at hand

As he walks further he hears the rustling of leaves and the chirping of nocturnal Pokemons. The moon is high in the sky, illuminating his path. Despite the peaceful surroundings, Kei can't shake off the uneasy feeling in his gut. He is worried about his friend and the Professor and hopes that the Pokemon Police Squad has some answers.
