"MARA...COME FOR BREAKFAST PLEASE!" My mom screamed.
Ugh the first day of school... I thought. I reluctantly got out of bed to my breakfast. I wasn't hungry at all but... I should eat.
"Hey Mara you ready for the first day of high school!" Mom squealed.
"No, not at all."
"Well I know I was I was ready for everything that was gonna happen." She remembered. "I could go on and on about my high school years" she looked at her watch " but you'll miss the bus" I casually rolled my eyes.
I got dressed in my navy blue skirt and white shirt that I picked out yesterday for this day. I braided my blonde hair that went all the way down to my butt. I loved it so much. I did my makeup blue to match my skirt. I thought that I looked okay. I mean could look better.
"Mara the bus is here!" Mom yelled. I walked out of my room and whispered to my sleeping sister who started sixth grade tomorrow " good luck."
I ran and slipped my navy converse on and ran to the bus.
I looked around for Natalie who has been my bff since I was five. She had long red hair that was very soft and my favorite thing was to feel it it felt like a cats fur in the summertime. She stood out in the seat in the middle with her hair in a perfect bun sitting on top of her head like it wasn't attached but it was balanced.
I scooched in the seat where she was sitting.
"You look pretty today." she said " you know what they say..."
"First day, first impression" we said in unison.
We made that up in sixth grade when we were on the bus and I told her that I hope i make a good impression for the first day and she said "the first day is when you make your first impression" then I said"I like that, first day... First impression.
We talked our heart out about how we thought the first day was going to be and we traded schedules to see if we had any classes together and we realized that we had reading, science and Spanish together.
The bus driver told us that we were at school. We all piled out and into the school. A lady whose name tag read "Miss Williams, math teacher" was handing out school maps. I took a peek on my way to my locker. Natalie elbowed me and I look up and I ran into an eleventh grader who slowly inched her way past me.
My locker number was 1145 which seemed far away but it ended up being not to far. I looked next to my locker to see who was next to me. To my left, Natalie. (Yay!) Joanna. (No!) Joanna is the most annoying girl in the history of annoying girls. She had very curly and her hair looked like a black hole, she had sparkles in her ponytail which I think is really weird. Why would someone want sparkles in their hair?

Natalie looked at me and smiled and said "so, Mara, whaddya have?"
I looked at my schedule "Spanish with you." I say and smile back. The Spanish room was 213 and we walked together to the room. I ran into someone while I tried to walk through the door. I looked up and saw Brandon. He is super tall. I didn't know what to say.
