"It looks amazing." Giselle complimented and Gianna smiled appreciatively as she drove.

It was her day off—Saturday—and she had decided to install a new wig that had come. She almost forgot she had purchased it off AliExpress, but she was beaming when she felt the quality of the curly, Brazilian weave. It was twenty-six inches long, with platinum blonde highlights.

After putting it on, she curled it to her liking and put some make-up on. She felt pretty. Currently, she was on her way to grab some food since she hadn't eaten all day, so she decided to call her mother and sister to catch up.

"It's alright but I prefer you with your natural hair," Gail stated, adjusting her glasses as she leaned closer to get a closer look.

She was still in her scrubs because she had gotten out of surgery only an hour ago. Her bare chocolate-dark skin was smooth and refreshing—you wouldn't believe she was past fifty years of age if it wasn't for the wrinkles around her eyes and mouth. Her kinky hair was pulled back in a low ponytail and her full lips moistened with some lip balm.

It was ironic that neither women got features from their mother but instead got it from their father. Their almond-shaped eyes, pouty lips, and straight nose were all inherited from their father while the men inherited their mother's mocha dark skin, thick eyebrows, and extra kinky and untamed hair.

"I know, momma but I gotta switch it up sometimes." Gianna voiced.

"Hmm. You have a boyfriend or something?"

"I wish," Giselle responded, earning an eye roll from Gianna who sped down the highway. "It wouldn't hurt, you know. Go out there and have some fun for once. Meet someone and fall in love."

"Falling in love isn't that easy, Gi. Especially not in your generation." Gail said, "Gianna has all the time in the world to find a husband and settle down."

"Husband?" Both sisters exclaimed in unison before bursting out in laughter.

Gail was confused. "What's funny? You just turned twenty-five, Gianna. You're not dating to find someone to have fun with for a while, you're dating to find someone to be with in the long run. You should be married by thirty."

Marriage wasn't something Gianna thought hard on, mainly because she never thought it was necessary. She never had a boyfriend to fantasize about and her crushes didn't have her that weak in the knees to be thinking about walking down the aisle for them.

"Okay, but you have to try your options first. Don't just fall for the first guy that gives you attention." Giselle advised.

"I know. I'm not looking for a relationship right now, guys. I'm—"

"When are you ever?" Giselle taunted.

"—focusing on the clinic and furthering my career. Men can wait."
