OTM Nicki was sitting all the way in the back of library staring out the large window, she enjoyed the earthy green views of the tall grass fields that often had bunny rabbits or butterflies around doing what they do best. She was currently watch a baby bunny nibble on a piece of grass, the sight alone made Nicki heart swell with pure happiness.
But sadly that wasn't the actual reason why she was sitting alone in the back of the library, Nicki was hiding from her high school bully this was apart of her everyday routine. She'd come to school early grab all of her work from her teachers, then camp out in the library until the end of the day.
It was a never ending routine for her it became normal honestly, she goes to school collect her work then straight to the library. The end of the day roll around Nicki quickly rushes around to turn in all her work, that was her everyday occurrence which she didn't mind at all.
It was a little boring in her eyes but it didn't matter what mattered was that she was okay, she didn't have to endure the constant degrading name calling or being shoved around. Nicki was content with the place she's been hiding for the last 4 months, it deeply pissed Megan off that she didn't have anyone to take her anger out on.
"Nicki?" She heard her name being called faintly she already knew who it was. Mrs.Kelly the librarian she really loved the older women and greatly appreciated her for helping her out a lot, hearing that soft motherly voice made a smile casually display on her face.
"Y-yes" Nicki looked in the direction of where Mrs.Kelly was standing. "Your cousin Lauren asked if you wanted to leave early" that made Nicki eagerly shake her head yes. She quickly stood up grabbing her things walking to the front of the library, looking around before taking a seat at a empty table.
"So I'm taking that as a yes" the older women chuckled walking off to relay the message. Nicki was filled with excitement to be going home early, even though she went home early everyday it still gave her same feeling of happiness. Lauren was Nicki favorite person to ever grace this land called earth, yes she had actual parents but they didn't want anything to do with her.
"Okay Nicki you can head to the office don't worry about your work" Mrs.Kelly walked over to the table grabbing the few sheets of paper. Nicki nodded standing up grabbing her bag walking towards the double doors, not before taking a deep breath of course she didn't wanna bump into Megan.
Once her foot stepped outside that library she immediately started speed walking, Nicki didn't want to waste a second in that hallway not knowing if she's gonna shoved into the wall or insulated. "Nicki" the voice made her slightly cringe.
She was only a few feet away from the front office as much as she wanted to turn around, Nicki wasn't gonna give Rihanna the satisfaction out of her to get a conversation. It did sadden both girls one had to ignore her to protect herself, meanwhile the other desperately wanted to talk to the girl.
Nicki smiled brightly seeing her cousin standing by the door waiting on her, "Hii boogie" - "hi my Cookie Monster". Both greeted each other walking out the office, then out the school "Mrs.Kelly said you were really eager to leave". Lauren looked over at Nicki who had content look on her face "mhm I was ready" she chuckled at Nicki grabbing her hand.
"I'm just ready to go home" Nicki mumbled as they finally made their way to the car. Both girls got in buckling themselves in "do you want something to eat?", Nicki immediately nodded her head vigorously.
Lauren tried to get a conversation about how's school going, Nicki wasn't really interested with engaging into the conversation at all. "Can we just door dash the food.. I don't want to sit in this car any longer then what I am", she really wanted to just crawl in bed and take a nice nap.
Luckily Lauren was very understanding and didn't push the topic further, once they finally arrived home Nicki immediately went straight to her room. One thing Nicki hated was outside clothes on her bed so she changed into an oversized Tshirt, then got into bed she felt herself immediately relax into the soft pink duvet.
A few hours later Nicki had did her night routine along with taking a hot bath, now she was laying down fully fed watching gray's anatomy her comfort show.
It was show that she loved watching no matter how many times she saw it, oddly it helped her fall asleep so soon enough Nicki was fast asleep.
