"Eyes like sinking ships on water"
Sure enough, Harry met me outside of the Ravenclaw common room at midnight. He smiled so giddily that I had to put in some effort to not laugh. He beckoned me close with his finger to his lips. Telling me to be quiet. I nodded and walked forward.
He pulled a cloak of some sort over us. It was all so strange, we could see through the cloak. Interesting. I couldn't help but ask, "What is this thing?" He flashed his teeth at me and whispered back, "Cloak of invisibility, Dumbledore gave it to me. He said my father would've wanted me to have it."
I nodded at him in understanding and we kept walking throughout the castle. I had never seen us so quiet and serene. It was almost like no one besides me and Harry had ever been here before. His body heat was radiating and in the cold corridor, I shuffled closer to him for warmth.
Before long we were outside the library doors. He pulled his hand out of the cloak and slowly creaked open the door. Trying his best to be unnoticed. We crept slowly into the library and made our way back to the restricted section. He pulled the cloak off of us and set his lantern down on a desk.
This moment was so thrilling yet terrifying. I could feel the adrenaline running through my veins thinking about us being out of bed after hours. This is something I hadn't planned on doing when I got my acceptance letter to Hogwarts. However here I was. Alone in the library searching for something, anything that would lead us any closer to concluding what Fluffy was hiding.
We searched for not more than 10 minutes when we heard Filches bitter voice, "I know someone's in here!" Harry and I scrambled to get the cloak on and the lantern picked up but he dropped the lantern. We shared a panicked glance before I shoved him under the cloak with me. We scurried through the library and out the door thankfully without Filch catching us.
Now the only task was to get back into our dorms without anyone catching us. Harry and I scurried as quietly as we could throughout the halls trying to not get caught, by Filch or by anyone that was lurking on the grounds at this hour.
Suddenly I heard the sounds of whispering around the corner. I pulled my arm out in front of Harry. A silent sign to stop moving. Thankfully he caught what I was trying to do. We stopped moving and listened in on the voices.
It wasn't long before I recognized the voices. It was Professor Snape and Quirrell! The exchange did not sound pleasant though. Professor Snape seemed to be threatening Professor Quirrell. Harry and I exchanged a look. We knew wordlessly that this could only be about one thing. We needed to figure out what was hiding under that trapdoor and soon.
The exchange soon ended and Harry dropped me off at the Ravenclaw common room. "Be safe and don't leave your dorm at night for anything. Hogwarts doesn't appear to be completely safe as of now." I nodded. He gave me a small smile and thanked me quietly for accompanying him on this excursion. He then slipped the cloak back over his head and strode off down the corridor. Not that I could see him anyway.
I quietly muttered the answer to the riddle for the Ravenclaw common room and slipped up to my dorm. Completely unnoticed thankfully. I didn't sleep much that night. What could Fluffy be hiding underneath him that was causing so much tension between professors? Certainly not anything good.
-It was over a week later until we got new information. Harry had found something called the Mirror of Erised. He was lurking about the castle late at night when he discovered it. Dumbledore saw him and told him that it showed Harry whatever he most desired. He refused to tell us what he most desired though. Hermione told me this while we were in the library searching for what could be under the trap door.
We searched for a little while longer until Hermione gasped, "It's the Philosopher's Stone!" She pushed the book over to me. I glanced a the page and read about it.
I nodded my head and she grinned, pleased with her discovery. I looked around, "It looks as though that could be what Fluffy is hiding but why would Snape want it?""It says here that it could turn metal into gold or confer immortality, perhaps that's what Snape wants." I nodded, "That seems plausible." She closed the book with a loud thump and we walked out of the library successfully.

Hermione asked if I would sit at the Gryffindor table for the evening feast tonight. I of course obliged happily. While we were at dinner Ron and Harry were complaining about having detention with Malfoy and Hagrid later that evening. Hermione and I offered to go with and they gladly accepted. We walked out to the forbidden forest where met up with Hagrid. Malfoy was already sneering at us before we even ventured inside the forest. However, once we did Hagrid sent Harry, Malfoy, and I off. I was sent to "keep the peace" by Hagrid's word. We crept deeper and deeper into the forest when Harry suddenly put his hand in his scar and made a hissing noise. He was in pain. I rushed to his side as he stumbled around a bit. Malfoy then starts blubbering and pointing.
I looked up and around before realizing what he was pointing at. A hooded figure who appeared to be drinking from a unicorn. Malfoy sprinted off screaming just leaving Harry and I there. Harry grasping at his scar and me trying to drag us away from the hooded figure who just kept getting closer and closer. I could feel the blood rushing through my veins and my heart beating in my chest.
Suddenly a figure leaped over Harry and I. Rearing up on its hind legs and scaring off the hooded figure. That's when a lantern light came bounding around the corner. It was Hagrid, Hermione, Ron, and Malfoy. The centaur spoke a few words to Hagrid about keeping us safe and Hermione and I shared a look. Hagrid slowly walked us back up to the castle and dropped off Malfoy. He then turned to us with a solemn look on his face.
"I assume you lot know what unicorn blood can be used for." He looked pointedly at me and a Hermione. We both nodded. In my previous studies, I had come to know that Unicorn blood could provide immortality. Harry and Rom however looked completely lost.
"Unicorn blood can be used to provide immortality," Hermione spoke to them. Hermione and I then shared a look. We know exactly who the hooded figure was. Why Harry's scar was burning. Why he was coming towards us? This changed everything. Voldemort has returned. I glanced at Harry with what I can imagine was nothing but fear in my eyes. He looked back at me and bowed his head. We knew what we had to do now.
