'I Have Always Been A Seeker'

A new semester has begun at NRC, welcoming many new and old faces to this highly prestigious school. Work quickly began to pile up as students resumed their scheduled classes and friends from different realms reunited in small groups. All was average as it could be in your typical magical boarding school. Except for one thing...

"Hey, have you seen that drone flying around the school grounds?" Whispered a red headed Heartslabyul student to another.

"Why are we whispering?" The blue haired friend whispered back.

"In case he hears us!"

The blue haired friend quickly turned back to make sure they weren't being eavesdropped on. "I don't see it anywhere...but what about it?"

"Some second and third year students are saying it belongs to a very important transfer student! Others were saying that it belongs to one of the Professors." The redhead spoke a little louder.

The blue haired male shook his head, eyes wincing. "You gotta be kidding me. Now I'll have to pay extra attention to our History lessons."

Suddenly a pair of arms grabbed the two's shoulders from behind, pulling them closer. "Yaho~! Howdy First Years! Getting used to being on campus? Ooh how about a selfie with your fellow upperclassmen? #FriendshipGoals~"

The pair swiftly turned around to see two older students, one with green hair and glasses and the other with bright orange hair.

"T-Trey-senpai and Cater-senpai! What are you doing here?"

The older student, known as Cater, pocketed his phone with a semi-apologetic smile. "Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade right? Sorry for giving you guys a scare. But I just had to get that photo as soon as I saw you guys standing around."

"Actually, you didn't-" Trey corrected him.

"What about you two?" Cater abruptly cut him off.

The redhead, presumably Ace, snapped out of his stunned state. "We were just discussing some things-"

"Have you seen the drone flying around campus?" The other boy, Deuce, chimed in.

"Drone?..." Trey repeated softly. He then shook his head. "Afraid not. Riddle hasn't informed me of anything like that."

Cater scrolled through his Magicam feed. He hummed a low tune as his eyes flicked across the screen, ending swiftly with a disgruntled click of his tongue. "A few others have posted asking about this drone, but nothing of it...although most of the recent photos are in Mostro Lounge..."

"So...Octavinelle?" Ace inquired. The two upperclassmen nodded.

Deuce yawned. "That's their business now. Come on, we've got lots of homework to do."

"You're not actually going to do it are ya?!" His friend called after him, not realising his lie.

The two upperclassmen laughed and waved goodbye to the first year duo. Just then, Trey noticed something shiny watching them from above.

"Is that it?" Cater looked up from the duo disappearing around the corner. He smirked and waved at it.

"Yup. Say 'Have a wonderlandiful first day!''

Just as Cater said, the drone returned to Octavinelle, but not to a professor. The drone was swift and small, yet strong enough to carry takeout boxes from Mostro Lounge all the way to the dormitories. Unlike the other rooms, there was a small sliding door that could only be unlocked through a special command code.
