Wally darling is a simple puppet. He like apples, can count to 12, and likes to colors and paint.

He's also very feminine. Soft. Girly.

Maybe that comes with being a puppet, but he hears these things about him from the show producer and from the letters he receives. Why is this a bad thing? To be soft and girly while being a boy? He questions as he lays on the grass outside of Home, looking at the blue sky and fluffy clouds.

A seed of dread; of uncomfortableness rest in his stomach. H felt....Not wrong; but not happy in his body.
Sitting up, he rolled into a summersault. Once up he brush the grass off his clothes.

Time to get some answers!  He quickly run to Frank's home.

                              ——

"Fraaaaank. Fraaaanklin. Franky-Frank. Are you home?" Wally calls out, rapping his hand on the door.

It opens and Frank's head appears. While grey puppet always has a frown on their face, it brightens when seeing Wally. Frank moves the door open;

"Wally! Hello neighbor; how are you?" The older puppet speaks, in a soft tone.

"Frank you're super smart! And you know about girl puppets and boy puppets and puppets! Right?" Wally asked, slightly nervous. Ring a hand against his blue fuzzy soft cardigan. The soft textured help calm him.

Frank furrows his brow, then relaxes. "Yes. I do know lot about genders, why do you ask?"

"Well..." Wally says, rocking on his toes back and forth. "Poppy said that boy puppets can become girl puppets and visa versus. But can boy puppets be something else?"

A best of silence is made. Frank states at Wally, a bit confused as they process the question.

"OH!! Why! Yes! Come inside." Frank gasp, excited. Then he grabs Wally hand and pulls the smaller puppet inside.

Leading Wally toward the living room Frank rambles. "There many different genders! And there many way to explore and express yourself.

Some people are cisgender; meaning they identify as what they were assigned at birth. Some people are transgender; they don't identify as their assigned birth. Cisgender people are called "Cis". Some cis people dress in their assigned sex. Meaning a women might wear a dress while a man might wear pants.

And some cis people don't! They sometimes identify as GNC. Aka Gender Non Conforming. Meaning a women might wear pants while a man might wear a skirt. Just because a boy wears a skirt doesn't mean that he is trans or nonbinary; it just mean he like to wear a skirt."

As Frank infodumps about gender. Wally is instructed to sit down. He sit on a soft velvet maroon chair. The chair was to big and he couldn't put his feet into the floor; so he slightly swings his feet. Frank gathers a tray of food and snacks; a arrangement of fruits to cheeses to chocolates and crackers.

Then the taller man leaves the room. A moment passes. Looking down at the food Wally leans forward and picks up a piece of brie cheese and nibbles on it. Frank comes back into the room; carrying a bunch of fabrics. Dumping the fabrics on the couch, Wally can see the pastel colors and muted earthy colors.

It's clothes.

Then Frank sits down in his own chair and continues speaking. "I got these clothes from my closet. Julie have them to me; and the rest or from thrift stores. There skirts, dresses, pants, and skirts. Sorry I don't wear accessories; you'll have to ask Poppy or Julie. Now; about your question; yes. Boy puppets can be different genders."
