13. Deep Mess

I was a mess
A deep mess
A glass with cracks
That was shattered as it was thrown
From the highest tower
Yet You picked up before my pieces got lost
Before I felt the full depth of the blow
You took every piece
Though there were too many to count
A glass that once stung people
A glass that caused massive pain

So I was deep in sin
That effected not just me
You complimented "What a beautiful mirror you'll make one day,
You'll reflect My image"

Perplexed, I couldn't comprehend
The weight of Your voice

You could me to reflect Your glory.

You picked me up
In my shattered mess
You forgave me for the scars I once made
Now I'm purified and changed
For my Lord my God
Saw the glory, not the pain
You saw what I'd become
Not who I was

And for that
I'm grateful
