Hit after hit, my vision getting blurry. "You bitch" Derek said as he grabbed a bottle and threw it on the floor. "First you come home late and then you talk back to me" he said as he kneeled down in front of me grabbing my chin. "You should be lucky that you have a roof over your head" he said as he got up and grabbed my arm dragging me into the cold basement. He left me there of the floor covered in blood and locked the door. "NOOOO PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME IN HERE" I yelled but it was no use.

VAL WAKE UP" I suddenly jolted up sitting on my bed being my knees to my chest, tears rolling down my face. As I took a look around at my surroundings I saw that I was in my new home, new room with Alexander sitting on the edge of my bed with a horrified but concerned expression.
"Sorry" I said as I kept my head down not wanting to look at him.
"What was that? Are you okay?" He asked as he when to hold my hand but I flinched back, Hopefully unnoticed by him but he saw.
"Hey it's okay what happened" he said reaching to hold my hand again.
"Sorry I just had a nightmare that's all" I said as I let him hold my hand.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked
"No" I said getting up and going to the bathroom locking the door behind me.

I opened my makeup bag and got my blade. I leaned against the door and rolled the sleeves of my arms. Watching the blood drip down my wrist I was satisfied and got up washing the blade and putting it back. I wiped off the blood and pulled my sleeve back down.

Walking out of my bathroom I saw Alex still sitting on my bed scrolling through his phone, he looked up at me and gave me a smile. I went and sat next to him.
"It's only 5:45am Bambina, you should go back to sleep" he said as he wrapped him arm around my shoulder giving me a comforting side hug.
"No Im not sleepy"
"Im just gonna read" I said
"Okay, just come downstairs for breakfast when your ready" he said as get kissed my head and got up walking out of my room.
"Hey Alex" I said as he turned around waiting for me to finish talking. "Can you please not tell the others about my nightmare" I said giving him a pleading look hoping that he would agree.
